🏀💰An 11.4X in Game 1 of the NBA Finals!
Congrats to @NickPreszler for hitting on exactly 11 three's by the Spurs.
He used the Range function to pick between 10.5 and 11.5 crafting his own payoff and was rewarded handsomely.
Game 2 tomorrow, can Nick hit another crazy pick?
🏀 Meet propSPACE.
The NBA Finals competition is kicking off - up to $2k in USDC on the line.
What's new? You set the line on any prop. Take it over/under, or bracket a range. The bolder your call, the fatter the multiplier. No house

🚀 Embracing the Post-Quantum Era in Folding: Introducing LatticeFold Rust implementation 🌐
The festive season is the perfect time to look ahead and prepare for the challenges of a post-quantum world! With recent breakthroughs in quantum computing, developing future-proof post-quantum (PQ) infrastructure has never been more critical.
At Nethermind, we’re excited to share our Rust implementation of LatticeFold — the first (plausibly) PQ-secure folding scheme, originally designed by @danboneh and @Charles_Chen533. 🎉
🦀Rust Library: https://t.co/tk9i9w4YEE
📄Original Paper: https://t.co/NmqDis1otS
Here's what makes LatticeFold stand out:
1️⃣ PQ-Security: Unlike most state-of-the-art folding schemes that are based on Pedersen or KZG commitments, LatticeFold adopts the Ajtai commitment from lattice-based cryptography, ensuring robust post-quantum security.
2️⃣ STARK-compatibility: LatticeFold operates over cyclotomic rings (instead of fields), which we’ve extended compatibility with several STARK-friendly fields — including Goldilocks, BabyBear, and the Starknet field.
Huge thanks to @cknabs and @GiacomoFenzi for their help with the initial cyclotomic ring implementation! 🙌
⚙ Performance: While LatticeFold is an efficient folding scheme, it currently lags behind HyperNova. For instance, folding witnesses of length |W| = 2^13 takes 269 ms (HyperNova) vs. 608 ms (LatticeFold) on our current setup (AMD EPYC 7713 64-Core with 6 cores, 16 GB memory, no parallelization).
🧑💻 User Experience: To ensure usability, we aligned the interface of our library with PSE's Sonobe library, for consistency and ease for developer.
💡 Team Effort: This project represents a massive effort by @IVolkg, Matthew Klein, Emanuel Vieira, Marko Cupic, @Cryptoni0x and @fastreedsolomon. Their dedication and expertise have been instrumental in bringing LatticeFold to life. 🙏
Special thanks to @0xAlbertG for his invaluable supervision throughout the project.
This work was also made possible thanks to the ZK grant round led by @ethereum and supported by @aztecnetwork, @0Polygon, @Scroll_ZKP, @taikoxyz, and @zksync
Together, we’re building the future of cryptographic innovation.

@dcbuilder@fisiroky@tarunchitra It's interesting to find people from physics in crypto, it's like a wake-up call from academia xD
The difference in my case was that I was taking the solid state physics route
Glad to find more physics peeps in here :)
Together with Yerevan State University’s scholars, Nethermind Research introduces STARKPack: A batch-proof generation method that reduces the total proof size and verifier time for modern STARKs (compared to sequentially proving each program).
Zero-knowledge STARKs (zk-STARKs) are non-interactive proof systems known for their efficient prover and verifier characteristics. In modern STARKs, verifiers often perform the same type of checks to decide whether or not to accept a proof. We propose to use this shared structure to generate proofs for potentially different programs in batches.

Physics gives you existential dread about what you're doing with your life *years* before your peers get it.
Get ahead by starting early. That's alpha.
Nethermind Research contributes to core cryptographic research in blockchain by:
➕ building innovative and efficient cryptographic protocols focusing especially on zero-knowledge proofs
➕ analyzing the security of protocols from first principles, establishing new results that ultimately lead to robust and efficient solutions
We work closely with the Ethereum and Starknet communities & conduct ongoing internal research across several domains.
