In recent years, worrying reports have emerged about the behavior of Eritrean nationals who are closely associated with the regime in Eritrea. These individuals may support political activities that are not in line with Israel's interests and values. In addition, there are indications that the Eritrean embassy here in Israel is pursuing a similar agenda that could potentially have a destabilizing effect.

We are aware that Israel has a strong tradition of human rights and international cooperation. Nevertheless, we firmly believe that upholding these values also requires protecting the communities from external threats.
