Hindus have been in India thousands of years before Jesus. St Thomas came, later Francis Xavier came and it is not a secret how the Hindus were butchered and persecuted by him. And he is being called a saint! Did Xavier even know what Jesus preached?! Jesus told his disciples to spread his message of love and simplicity. But when the East India company walked in with the missionaries there was more trouble and humiliation for us Hindus. We were looted and left behind like beggars. We have risen like a phoenix from our own ashes. Now we the Hindus will assert ourselves and save our culture. We are proud of our aesthetics, religions and wisdom. The missionaries can please stop their conversion activities. You can please stop sending the money that is being used to destabilise our motherland India.

I don't understand how the YouthOfIndia are being fed with misinformation regarding our country and how most of them turn into prejudiced wokes? What is going wrong? Meta? Why doesn't the government make use of its info platforms to counter the anti national sentiments? The cabinet ministers speak in the #parliament. The youngsters don't watch #sansadtv. They don't watch News where debates happen. So all of their info sources are managed by Meta.
All the ministers should explain their plans and progress on Instagram employing young and energetic influencers who can speak contemporary language. The union ministries should reach out to the young crowd with credible information . The government should get rewired in the department of Information and Broadcasting. Doordarshan has become a dud. Infuse it with fun and fashion. Make it the government's mouth piece and do it with young employees. I am afraid the Indian #UnionGovernment is losing its connect with the young crowd. This is not good for the country.

கடந்த 16.02.2018 அன்று, மாண்புமிகு உச்சநீதிமன்றம் வழங்கிய காவிரி நதி நீர் பங்கீடு தொடர்பான தீர்ப்பில், கர்நாடக அரசு காவிரியின் குறுக்கே எந்தவொரு கட்டமைப்பையும் புதிதாக ஏற்படுத்த, காவிரி நதி பாயும் மாநிலங்களான தமிழ்நாடு, கேரளா மற்றும் புதுச்சேரியின் ஒப்புதலைப் பெற வேண்டும் என்று எங்கும் குறிப்பிடப்படவில்லை என நேற்றைய தினம், மாநிலங்களவையில், காவிரி நதி தொடர்பாக, மத்திய நீர்வளத் துறை அமைச்சகம் அளித்துள்ள பதில் மிகுந்த அதிர்ச்சியளிக்கிறது.

கடந்த 05.08.2021 அன்று அன்றைய மத்திய நீர்வளத்துறை அமைச்சர் திரு. கஜேந்திர சிங் ஷெகாவத் அவர்கள், அணைக் கட்டுமானத்திற்கான விரிவான திட்ட அறிக்கை (DPR) தயாரிக்க, கர்நாடக மாநிலத்துக்கு வழங்கப்பட்ட அனுமதி நிபந்தனைக்குட்பட்டது என்றும், மாநிலங்களுக்கு இடையேயான நதிநீர் பங்கீடு சட்டத்தின்படி, காவிரி கடைமட்டத்தில் பாயும் மாநிலங்களின், (குறிப்பாக தமிழ்நாட்டின்) ஒப்புதல் இன்றி, நதியின் குறுக்கே அணை உள்ளிட்ட கட்டமைப்புகளை அமைக்க முடியாது என்றும் நாடாளுமன்றத்திலேயே தெளிவாக தெரிவித்திருந்தார்.

இந்த நிலையில், தமிழ்நாட்டு விவசாயிகளின் உரிமைகளையும், நலன்களையும் புறக்கணித்து, மத்திய அரசு தனது முந்தைய நிலைப்பாட்டிலிருந்து திடீரென பின்வாங்கியிருப்பது, கர்நாடகத் தேர்தல் அரசியலுக்காகவா என்ற சந்தேகத்தை எழுப்புகிறது.

விவசாயிகளின் வாழ்வாதாரத்தைப் பாதிக்கும் இத்தகைய முக்கியமான விவகாரங்களில், மத்திய அரசு, நேர்மையாகவும், வெளிப்படையாகவும், ஒரே நிலைப்பாட்டிலும் செயல்பட வேண்டும் என எதிர்பார்ப்பது தவறா?

We want to be Hindus. No other religion for us please! We want to be safe. And we look up to the BJP, and RSS, and every conscientious leader and citizen of India to let us remain so. I am worried for people like me and my country as I see the jantar mantar protest turn into a cauldron of fake narratives and extreme views. Money is pouring in from places which want to establish their religions here. Dear #Modiji, it is not about personalities anymore. It is about discipline. I do understand that it is very difficult to manage this unwieldy and diverse country. I may not know how to set this right but I know that this is not right. We look up to you and your cabinet of ministers to save the native culture of our country. Please save the gullible youngsters from ethical decline, and the nation from anarchy. 'A stitch in time saves nine'.

Over the past many years, I have taken a personal stand in support of the NEET examination, arguing that it brought uniformity in student selection across the country and gave students from underprivileged backgrounds a real shot at pursuing their dream of medical education. In the last 5 years, the NEET UG question paper has leaked thrice. Imagine the amount of pressure that it puts on students, who had to go through the examination process yet another time when the system that was supposed to bring in uniformity was failing. Yet there was no accountability, and I believe strongly that it was that moment that brought in a shift in the minds of the students to take to the streets to cry their hearts out.

Protest is a fundamental right in a Democracy. The pertinent question, however, is this: why did the BJP-led Central Government take so long to initiate a dialogue with the protestors? Why was meaningful engagement delayed until the protest had escalated to a flashpoint? What kept you waiting?

The students and the people who are leading them also have a responsibility here. It is natural that when a protest stays on for weeks, people with vested interests will take the stage to air views that are either completely irrelevant to the initial demands of the protests or would try to completely hijack it to serve their agenda. If you remain silent and let these people with vested interests further their agenda, then you are deviating from your core objectives. Please do not let it happen!

I urge the BJP-led Central Government to engage in meaningful dialogue, uphold transparency, and take swift, appropriate action to address the concerns at hand. The strength of any nation lies in the confidence its youth place in its institutions. If our students lose faith in the fairness and credibility of our education system, we are jeopardising the future of our nation.
