@WBB_Bham @SustainConnect I’ve been curious for a number of years, could form based codes as a replacement for Euclidean zoning, improve new developments in the @CityofBhamWA?
@vasalex93@pushtheneedle It feels far more claustrophobic to live in seattle that is choked by 40 miles of suburbs in most directions before you can escape the city. If we were at the density of Barcelona, we would have saved so much more natural areas around us.
@Jokar2312 @mayormcginn I think @mayormcginn agrees with you; the statement was in quotation marks, implying it was a quote or paraphrased from some republican talking point. I misread it the first time too.
@wsdot on state highways, is it legal to operate a licensed-vehicle slower than the speed limit? Example: driving at 30mph (hills) or 50mph (flat) on Highway 11 in Whatcom Co. or 203 in High Rock (posted speed 55)? RCW 46.61.425 was rather vague.
@wastatepatrol on state highways, is it legal to operate a licensed-vehicle incapable of reaching the speed limit? Example: driving at 30mph (hills) or 50mph (flat) on Highway 11 in Whatcom Co. or 203 in High Rock (posted speed 55)? RCW 46.61.425 was rather vague.
@Bongoangola @the_transit_guy As is exists, that is not currently a high-speed corridor, and the Amtrak bus between Seattle and Bellingham is often faster than the train. I'm confused by the first half of your first sentence. I agree with the rest.
@the_transit_guy Seems odd to not connect the gaps. PGH to CLE would allow high-speed connections between the midwest and east coast. STL to LRK and SAS to HOS would alone link the three largest proposed corridors together. Lastly, PDX to SFO would complete the entire west coast.
@aniwacked@LumberRussian@cordinbleu @thosbond @the_transit_guy A 20% increase is capacity not going to solve anything when there is a 100% increase in population. Temporarily it will divert more funds away from public transit and encourage more people to drive. In the long term, the highway will be well over 140% capacity.
This 433 unit apartment building in downtown Houston served by light rail is now vacant and slated to be demolished for a highway widening project. In the year 2022.
Senator Lana Theis accused me by name of grooming and sexualizing children in an attempt to marginalize me for standing up against her marginalizing the LGBTQ community...in a fundraising email, for herself.
Hate wins when people like me stand by and let it happen. I won't.
My first campaign ad, ‘37 Seconds.’ #JustLikeMe
I hope this ad works to not only destigmatize the use of marijuana, but also forces a new conversation that creates the pathway to legalize this beneficial drug, and forgive those who were arrested due to outdated ideology.
Today is highway expansion appreciation day! Which unbuilt highway from this 1957 plan do you wish we would demolish homes and businesses to build and why?

@Danielhep @AnnaZivarts @typewriteralley@oowm Remove a parking lane? Looks like the second telephone pole back is also in the middle of the sidewalk (the closer one is on the edge but is lined up with a tree which is not)
There is an economic disparity that now, more than ever in my lifetime, is impossible to ignore as its evidence lines our city streets. This doesn’t feel like the American Dream. #housingfirst#housingisahumanright https://t.co/j3G0JlUqAu
