A kid who acts like a kid is more of an adult than a kid who acts like an adult. Not doing what you FEEL like doing out of some misplaced sense of "normalcy" is some coward shit. Now if you'll excuse me, I am going to go watch this 80s Cooking Anime for kids because it looks cool
Its honestly crazy how people watch shows like Evangelion and Madoka and instead of going “WOW this show was great, I need to see more of the genre” they instead go “WOW I can’t believe the rest of genre SUCKED before this, and this is clearly the pinnacle of genre”
I looooooove this style and this era of animation. It feels restrained compared to contemporary animation, but in a way that actually makes it more exciting. It feels more grounded so the fantastical/fancy bits stand out even more when they happen!
