डोंबिवलीतला फडके रोड आणि तिथला 'मॉडर्न कॅफे' पिढ्यानपिढ्या प्रत्येक डोंबिवलीकराच्या काळजात एक हक्काचं घर करून राहिला आहे. आम्हा डोंबिवलीकरांच्या अनेक आठवणींशी मॉडर्न कॅफे एका हळव्या ऋणानुबंधाने जोडला गेला आहे, मॉडर्न कॅफेसोबतच त्या आठवणींमध्ये ज्यांचं हक्काचं स्थान होतं असे मॉडर्न कॅफेचे संचालक व त्यांच्या विस्तृत 'मॉडर्न' परिवाराचे सर्वेसर्वा श्री. किट्टाण्णा रामा शेट्टी उर्फ किट्टाशेठ. 'ग्राहक देवो भव' या आपल्या वृत्तीने ते अनेक डोंबिवलीकरांच्या परिवाराचा अविभाज्य हिस्सा झाले होते. अशा किट्टाशेठचं वृद्धापकाळाने त्यांच्या मूळगावी(मंगलोर) झालेलं निधन चटका लावून गेलं. शेट्टी कुटंबियांस व 'मॉडर्न' परिवारास हे दु:ख पचविण्याची शक्ती मिळो हीच ईश्वरचरणी प्रार्थना !!

@TmtBus @TMCaTweetAway Waiting only for 60 minutes! Ask a kidkaalikar (Bus no. 70). Specially in the evening. It all depends on the mood of the tmt officials (@CIDCO Stop Thane) whether to run a bus or not for hours. (The excuses they give are so funny).They don't give a damn to the Passengers.

Why have we increase the width of roads? Two trucks were parked in the middle of the road, resulting in a massive traffic jam at Shilphata.
