@oliviarodrigo I just listened to your vampire song, I’m glad you were able to get away from that blood sucking vampire. That sounds like it was really scary. You should also keep an eye out for werewolves too, I hear they’re pretty bad. 😊
Touchdown Blue Ghost! 🌕🎉
Over the next couple hours, Blue Ghost will perform surface commissioning with health checks on each subsystem. Once completed, the lander will be ready to perform its payload operations and science demonstrations.

Powered Descent Initiation has begun! During this 9-minute braking burn with all engines, #BlueGhost is fully autonomous, using D'Souza Guidance - a model similar to the guidance used during the Apollo Moon missions - to position itself above the target landing site and pitch over from a horizontal to a vertical orientation. #BGM1
T-2 hours until #BlueGhost performs a Descent Orbit Insertion and begins her trajectory towards our final destination: the Moon's Mare Crisium. This 19-second burn will be performed on the far side of the Moon in a planned comms blackout. Once we regain signal about 20 minutes after the burn, our #GhostRiders will conduct a health check to confirm the road to Mare Crisium is clear. Join the #BGM1 livesteam with @NASA at 1:20 am CST to follow along: https://t.co/uNIiyTIJUg

*Cronch* I ran over a rock and found crystals inside!
It's pure sulfur. (And no, it doesn’t smell.) Elemental sulfur is something we’ve never seen before on Mars. We don't know much about these yellow crystals yet, but my team is excited to investigate. https://t.co/Am07DuXpPX

Liftoff! July 16, 1969, 13:32 UTC – 55 years ago today – #Apollo11 launched from Earth, bound for the Moon. Years of research, testing, development, and all prior programs and missions came together to generate this moment. Neil, Mike and I may have been atop the rocket – but the entire world was right there with us on the journey. God bless America!
