Have you ever wondered why our revered deities in Sanatan Dharma- Shri Ram, Shri Krishna, Mahadev and Lord Vishnu-are often depicted in dark or blue complexions?
In today’s world, where people blindly chase “fair skin”, our scriptures describe Shyam Varn (dusky complexion) as divine, beautiful and supreme.
In this powerful statement, Sudhanshu Trivedi ji beautifully breaks the false pride associated with fair skin and reminds us of Sanatan’s timeless wisdom. Even in Ramcharitmanas, Mata Sita was blessed with “Sahaj Sundar Sanwaro” -a naturally dusky and graceful groom.
This is the eternal truth of Sanatan culture. 🚩
@BoredMallu@adityajakki@scarysouthpaw It might be that people I was amongst were speaking Urdu influenced Hindi.
Just putting out my experience out there.
A tiny seal. Barely the size of a stamp.
Unearthed from the Indus Valley over a century ago. A horned figure, seated in yogic posture, surrounded by an elephant, buffalo, rhinoceros and tiger.
Many scholars saw Lord Shiva in it immediately. To be precise, they saw “Pashupati” - the Lord of all Animals.
But the script carved beside it was undeciphered.
Then during the COVID-19 Pandemic, Dr. Bharath Rao (known online as @yajnadevam ), a computer scientist & a cryptographer, tried something out of the box.
Using cryptography, pattern recognition and information theory, he proved that this seal is the oldest recorded resemblance of Lord Shiva.
Today, the Pashupati Seal rests quietly in the National Museum in Delhi.
But after so many years, it is once again fuelling conversations about India's past, its spirituality, and the forgotten knowledge systems our ancestors carried.

@MitaMurthy@adityajakki Exactly.......
When I used the word Samay because Samaya or Samayam is the word for Time in South language people were shocked.
They were saying "we use Waqt. No one uses Samay."
Whenever people South of Vindhyas speak Hindi and they forget any particular commonly used word, they will immediately find substitute Sanskrit equivalent word that they may know or is commonly used in their own mother tongue too
This is with assumption that a regular Hindi speaker should understand common Sanskrit words
This is especially true for Telugus, Kannadigas ans Malayalis as Sanskrit words are common in their vocabulary
