Interesting that his '99 list seems to follow the @penguinrandom Modern Library top 100 novels released that same year, per the photo included (highlights by @nytimes). I've followed the same list for years.
@SethAbramson Look at these wonky proposed districts for the Houston area. Obviously meant to pull disparate chunks from one area to another. Look at District 7, with Heights folks inside the loop tied to neighborhoods way out in Fort Bend county.
@SethAbramson To avoid gerrymandering on either side, why isn't there a rule that "no point in any district shall be more than one standard deviation from the mean distance of all other points" or something? Keeping them relatively square, hexagonal... At least tiled in some way.
