An individual policy or a group of policies is no reason to leave a union nor is it to stay. The reasons should always be structural, what advantages does being in that union bring, long term?

The average person's national insurance payments cover about half the cost of their state pension:
@Naeluckmate@LouisUksov@BBCPolitics So if we can find one instance of a woman assaulting another in the female toilets then you'd agree we should also ban women from women's toilets?

Eton claims that VAT on private school fees means it will have to slash its bursaries budget by more than £1 million.
A reminder that Eton is sitting on a £553 million endowment fund and in 2022 received £3.3 million of rental income from its real estate portfolio as well as...
We used to own BP until Thatcher sold it, it made £23bn this year.
We used to own Centrica until Thatcher sold it, it made £3.3bn this year.

UK Govt defeated in the Lords by 285 to 209 votes on the Public Order Bill.
Lords deny power to police to stop and search without suspicion.
This is a big defeat for the govt, victory for civil rights.
I voted against the govt.
