A paper from my time @UniHeidelberg has been published! Considers the direction of point cloud change detection. Usually along surface normal but how about along the actual direction of movement? w/@BernhardHofle @kappadiversa@geogemgis @VivienZahs #3DGeo

@JohnhoganMorris @GeogDurham Thanks for drawing my attention to this, John. Very sad news indeed. A wonderful lady who would talk keenly to all of us postgraduates - human or physical geography, she was always full of encouragement.
Most definitely worth staying up late for! Thanks to @UtahGeohaz, Greg Stock, and Brian Collins for curating another great session. Lots of interesting work from the community and a fun discussion that followed. #AGU2020
Very sad news relating to landslide fatalities in Bharabise, Sindhupalchok. According to this floodlist article, Nepal's NDRRMA is reporting that ~30 people are dead or missing following rainfall during 12-13 Sep https://t.co/AqtB5CPw6Q
@BernhardHofle @kappadiversa @VivienZahs @geogemgis That's a very large amount of movement (nearly 5 m per annum?!). The change in boulder orientation as well as translation shows the value of dense LiDAR measurement. Makes comparison easier in some senses and harder in others. Awesome stuff guys!!! Exciting data to play with ๐๐ป
