@nwu@connectedlab From the order of the cards, it helped us see patterns and trends across all 21 of our participants, and one of those trends was a general sense of difficulty.
@nwu@connectedlab Another activity that gave us more concrete insight was a card-sorting exercise at the end of the user interview. We printed out different cards for them to prioritize, and the content of the cards ranged from features that they had just tested out to general “jobs to be done.”
@nwu@connectedlab Great questions, I don’t think there’s a universal way of quantifying cognitive stress, but between the user’s eye movements and similar gestures on the one hand and follow-up questions on the other, we were able to roughly estimate the extent to which they felt strained.
@connectedlab Screen, yes. Touch, no. Dispute how screens is distracting, there is no doubt there more pros than cons to have dynamic content display while you drive. However, the precision it requires to interact with a touchscreen plus the lack of tactility is way too dangerious.
