I love how Europe spent 25 years sanctimoniously lecturing Israel about the immorality of its security barrier but the moment Europeans started living among jihadists they did the same thing.
Selfies can kill. I actually learned about this during my research in 2024. Hamas scrapped the social media accounts of IDF soldiers to develop intricate maps and intelligence portfolios of any site they were planning to attack, to include sensitive sites, for pictures (to include selfies) soldiers took inside those locations.
This is a lesson for all militaries around the world. It reminds me of the gps fitness tracker events that showed the location of secret U.S. bases. Electronic discipline must be a priority in all militaries.
If you were a prime minister or president, would you send your military to learn from a country that has committed war crime after war crime?
Well, despite allegedly committing every imaginable evil in the Gaza Strip since October 7, the IDF just hosted over 100 senior military representatives from nearly 20 countries in a five-day program, in which it took them through its takeaways from the past two years of a multi-front war.
Who took part? The United States, Canada, Germany, Finland, France, India, Greece, Cyprus, the Czech Republic, Hungary, Poland, Austria, Estonia, Japan, Morocco, Romania, Serbia, and Slovakia.
And no, they did not come to Israel to learn how to commit genocide or create a famine.
Ok, so what was discussed? โTopics covered included advances in the military use of data and AI, the co-ordination of drones and artillery to protect advancing troops, and how to increase the chances of injured soldiers surviving their wounds,โ according to the @Telegraph.
But back to the participants.
France and Canada, which jumped on the latest international bandwagon of recognizing a Palestinian state, took part.
So did Germany, which imposed a temporary arms embargo on Israel in August.
Japan, which in September slammed the IDFโs operations in Gaza City as โentirely unacceptableโ and likely to โaggravate theโฆ famineโ in the strip, also came to learn from the Israeli military.
So did Finland, whose president said that same month that the IDFโs continued war in Gaza โviolates international law and norms.โ
You get the point. Some of the countries who joined this program have taken great issue with Israelโs alleged aggressions against the Palestinian people in the past two years, yet they seem to have no qualms about learning from the very same Israeli military that they have repeatedly condemned.
Yes yes, I know domestic politics also plays a role in the condemnations. Nevertheless, world leaders should take note: you can publicly accuse Israel of war crimes, yet still sit in its classrooms โ which raises the question, did you ever really believe your own condemnations?
Israel has begun feeding desalinated seawater into the Sea of Galilee, marking the first known effort by any nation to pump treated seawater into a natural freshwater lake.
The system, launched on October 23, channels desalinated water through the Tsalmon Stream and the Ein Ravid spring, reviving sections that had been dry for years.
Officials say the project is intended to stabilise the Kinneret after repeated droughts and falling water levels. Engineers estimate the new flow can raise the lake by several centimetres each month.
Israel, already a major desalination producer, views the initiative as a long term safeguard for one of its most important water sources.
Elbit, one of Israelโs leading defense companies, has secured a record $2.3 billion arms contract with a foreign customer that chose not to reveal its identity.
The exact systems were also not disclosed, but the company described the deal as a comprehensive weapons package.
@sfrantzman The loudest voices for more war, are usually from the Sectors that don't serve, or foreigners who don't live here and who support Israel and tell the country we need another war, it's all so tiring.
@MattityahuNew@IsraelRadar_com Yeah, I too despise when our defense Industrial base needs to ask the Americans for permission to sell our Military hardware in some cases, it disgusts me.
