Texans DC Matt Burke talks about a play where Will Anderson Jr. got too close to C.J. Stroud & they had to tell him to tempo down a bit.
He proceeded to make an inside move & still got in the backfield.
Frank Ross mentioned Jake Hummel’s tape vs the Ravens as something they watched and stood out during gameplanning last year.
He was fired up to add Hummel.
Frank Ross pointed out how he likes RBs in the return game & why Woody Marks has been involved in the return game.
He is competing for a starting job there he says.
Frank Ross says it’s important for him to not compare the punter competition and stick to the traits of what they do well.
He said Jack Stonehouse has a big leg but needs time to develop, Kai Kroeger had a chance to flush through some of those issues last year in a up & down year 1.
Texans DC Matt Burke said they tried to add a lot of pieces to the LB room this offseason.
They have a lot of players who can/have played MIKE/WILL for them.

Nick Caley mentioned being able to do 12/13/20 personnel as things that are important in 2026.
He said the TE room was thinned out early with Brevin/Stover injuries early that forced them into the “jumbo world.”
Nick Caley said it’s important for him to evolve in the early down & distance and try to move players around putting them in different situations.
Avoiding the long 3rd downs is a goal for them in 2026.
Texans OC Nick Caley says him & C.J. Stroud have always had a great relationship and are continuing to expand the “finer points” of the relationship.
He said Stroud sees the game extremely well.
BIG Development (Kinda): Tank Dell just put his helmet on and is jogged onto the field. He’s now taking light reps on walkthrough during Team 3 and caught a pass.
TE Marlin Klein is at practice Thursday after missing on Tuesday where Demeco Ryans gave no update on his status.
No helmet likely means he is working back from whatever injury he had but appears to not be something of concern.
