I think this is useful advice as ice will work to bring down inflammation. Resting in an elevated position will give the torn muscle fibres time to heal as there is no movement occurring to disrupt the process. Then comes the time for strengthening. @WhiteRoomRadio #ENG2D

Although rest is a common response from people to treat injury, muscles require some movement for effective healing. Once inflammation is somewhat reduced, gentle movement will encourage blood flow in affected areas to speed up the muscle’s healing process. #ENG2D @WhiteRoomRadio
A muscle commonly forgotten about when recovering from injury and an exercise to ensure that it is treated. Great video and explanation. @KalanAnglos @WhiteRoomRadio #ENG2D
💠Rotator Cuff Rehab (part 2)💠

The subscapularis is a muscle of the rotator cuff that works to internally rotate, and stabilize the shoulder (as well as adduct the arm). It’s often forgotten in rehab so here’s a few exercises u can do to complete your recovery 👇#injury#rehab
@WhiteRoomRadio #ENG2D A5: With this unit, I believe that having connections in advance would be helpful as it can sometimes be difficult to spread your name. It would also help to have easy access to research in order to effectively elaborate on the topic.
@WhiteRoomRadio #ENG2D A4: I believe that this unit helps develop how to effectively communicate with others from an online perspective. An essential skill in today’s society. It is also very open and allows us to research and gain knowledge on a topic that we are passionate about.
@WhiteRoomRadio #ENG2D A3: I think in order to persevere when faced with challenges online, you need to make the effort. You need to have the want to learn in order to overcome challenges. Doing additional research or contacting others are some methods to get involved and learn online.
@WhiteRoomRadio #ENG2D A2: To ensure that I represent myself on social media, I make sure to only create posts for something that I am passionate about. I try to act the same as I would in person to people because that is how you should portray yourself and it generally works out.
@WhiteRoomRadio @voicEdcanada#ENG2D A1: The difference between writing for a teacher and audience is the formality of the response and the information included. To a teacher you try to impress and show your best effort. To an audience you must address yourself, but you might be more honest and informal.
In your opinion, do athletes more commonly avoid injury and face the pain if it means competing? Do athletes understand the risks that competing could have and take the time they need to heal? What have you noticed? @WhiteRoomRadio @humanvers2@AdamMeakins@DianeLeePT#ENG2D
Very interesting article on athletes that have competed through injury and pain. It discusses the definition of pain, effects of playing through injury and how an athlete must make the decision to play or not. @WhiteRoomRadio #ENG2D

I believe that active release is an unusual technique as it prevents negative effects from arriving to your body as it heals. The overused soft tissue will scar but with poor effects in which this massage-like technique will aid. Is this effective? Or are there better methods?
An effective treatment known as the “Active Release Technique” is designed for injury or repetitive motion/over-use of a certain area. It is a type of massage therapy designed specifically towards erasing the effects of scarring soft tissue. Check out https://t.co/SFSZTu00o4
Very interesting to see that even an imbalance of strength within different muscles could lead to potential injury. Check this out! @humanvers2 @WhiteRoomRadio #ENG2D#sportphysio#injury#prevention
Most people have stronger quadriceps than they do hamstrings. This imbalance could set you up for injury. To balance things out, try these simple hamstring exercises as demonstrated by Human 2.0 coach Dan Jones 💪🏻👀 https://t.co/aekx7oIwYp Share w/ athletes you know!
