This won’t sit well with fans of a certain former late night host…
All funnies aside, the show is a much more straight forward news program compared to the features of the day crap they pushed on us last year.
@tdogmedia Local CBS affiliate also switched to ABC. It’s fine, but there’s more fluff than what we got in the CBS broadcast. Stations I used to work for all ran the 1 minute Fox newscast. It was surprisingly solid. Nothing but headlines. If 1 wanted to air less barter, I would consider it
Explain to me again how ending this excellent news service with 700 affiliates is going to make cbs news more profitable? Sad to see this news institution so lost.
This is the final CBS News Radio broadcast, aired between 11 p.m. (the top of the hour is first) and 11:30 p.m. (the final special report).
After 99 years on the air, CBS Radio News has ended.

This doesn’t feel even remotely right. WCCO in my mind will always be CBS. To hear ABC just doesn’t feel right. A damn shame they ended a great news service.
Move GB, KC, Dallas, and all the other teams I don’t care about to Amazon. Just leave the Vikings at noon on Fox please. Prefer @adamamin on the call. Thanks.
The Amazon broadcast is miles ahead of ESPN/ABC and they’ve had considerably more younger viewers than broadcast this postseason. Aren’t people just as likely to have Amazon as they would have cable in this day and age?
I’ve met Gary Dolphin a few times and he is a great and respectful man who loves the University of Iowa athletics.
What Fran and Margaret McCaffery have done to him and to the beat reporters for Iowa sports is a disgrace. They were never out to get Fran but rather get answers for us fans.
Shameful.
Seems like NBC is just giving these post-NBA Sunday night slots back to the affiliates. I guess there are no more new episodes of "3rd Rock From the Sun" to air in these windows like the last time they had NBA rights.
Why again do we need to start central time zone games at 8:30 on an effing streaming service? The whole advantage to streaming is being able to start the games at decent times.
Do these idiots even listen? Grady was perfectly fine the other night and I’d argue this crew was 10x easier than listening to Doris or Candace blabber over the play-by-play guy the entire night.
I’ve listened to Doris Burke and Reggie Miller say untrue and dumb things on national TV about the Timberwolves for years so forgive me for not caring that we’re finally overcorrecting
@tdogmedia Also, I’d argue Gray getting both NBC and ABC (and Fox on a sub-channel of NBC) in Sioux Falls led to an overall better product than what ABC and NBC were offering prior. Then again Gray cut some of the news in Mankato. It’s not an easy answer.
@tdogmedia On one hand, we’ve rarely seen anything good come from these mega mergers in big markets. On the other hand, the decline of traditional media will likely lead to less tv newsrooms anyway in many markets. We’ve seen that without mergers in places like Sioux City, Omaha, etc.
Sent a client a magnet calendar and letter thanking them for their business at Christmas last year. Just got it returned to me now, April 6th. Their address was correct. Your USPS at work!
