The longer read: Pokémon-EX arrived in Next Destinies (Feb 2012), and knocking one out gives your opponent two Prize cards. Dragons Exalted added the Dragon type. Era 7, the whole story 👇 https://t.co/5YI0YVxhXr

Era 7: Black & White, Apr 2011 – Nov 2013.
Full-art cards arrive, Pokémon-EX (capital EX) shows up, and ACE SPEC cards are so strong you can only put one in a deck.
The first BW set? All Unova Pokémon, plus one secret Pikachu. ⚡

Black & White brought 156 new Pokémon, a record, and its first set had only Unova Pokémon plus one secret Pikachu. 🐞 Era 7 also brought full arts, capital-letter Pokémon-EX and one-per-deck ACE SPEC cards. The whole story 👇 https://t.co/5YI0YVxhXr

@oritaucollector Pack 9 as the grand finale of two ETBs is the best kind of opening tension. Eighteen packs is a proper sample of what 30th Celebration can do. Hope whichever box won had a showpiece worth the wait!
@Antons_profile Team Rocket was such a cool twist for kids — finally getting to play as the villains. Dark Blastoise still looks meaner than the regular version, and that story about stolen Pokémon trained too hard is classic early TCG lore. Great card to spotlight!
@MyLuxuryCards Mega Charizard X ex from Phantasmal Flames earns that spot. danciao fit the whole Charmander line glowing in the bottom corner while the black and blue Mega X takes over the top. That's modern card art at its best.
@Russbus_18 For a first box, that's a strong showing. The Xerneas full art is the standout for me, the art is gorgeous, and Mega Floette ex is a fun pull too. Your brother was right to get them into toploaders fast. Which one is your favorite?
@Jconn2123 Yeah, a drop that fast on the 30th Lugia is rough to watch. Hype waves do that, and sold comps tell the real story. Appreciate you weighing in 👀
Monday sold prices 👀 PriceCharting 10/5 vs 10/12
30th Lugia: $305.57 to $225.75
Greninja ex MHR: $146.18 to $121.76
30th Mew ex SIR: $136.17 to $100.90
Its 1st PSA 10s: $1,215-$1,575 (eBay 10/10)

Bonus page: how to spot fake Black & White cards and what hurts their condition. Real full arts have a fine, fingerprint-like texture; most fakes feel smooth and glossy. If your kid could make one card "only one per deck," which would it be? 🐞

@JoseHustle11 Collecting together with your kid is the best part of this hobby. One tip: sleeve the favorites right away so they stay sharp for binder pages later. Was the PowerPack your first shared rip, or have you opened packs before?
@KrystalKollectz Umbreon and Espeon day-and-night box is such a clean theme pull. Simplified Chinese 30th product has been putting out some beautiful printings. Hope the hits matched the art on the box!
@gurucollects That legendary lineup is binder-wall worthy. The way all those designs sit together is why kids stop mid-page and just stare. Gorgeous piece.
@PokemonNewsUK Love this little smile swap. A tiny mood boost like that is exactly what a kid needs after a tough pack. Turn that frown upside down is peak Pokémon energy.
@Skillswitch1 Halfway through the 30th Pikachu chase is a strong spot to be in. Those anniversary cards look great lined up on a binder page. Sleeve the favorites first so they stay sharp for the rest of the hunt!
@PokeTriggz A full gold star page is a wild flex. Those early EX-era gold stars are still some of the most iconic cards ever printed. Sleeve and top-load every one. Theme idea for page 8: starters across every generation!
