The one fascinating thing about Urdu is that it contains almost every syllable imaginable, thus making Pakistanis uniquely qualified to learn any and every language/accent in the world.
The players dropped from the squad are still our national cricketers who have served Pakistan. Phrases like "sent on the first flight back" are disrespectful.
Accountability should start with those who broke the system, not with players specially those who were on the bench or have played 2-3 test matches. Plus accountability starts once a tour is done not in the middle of it.
Players should not be going through such mental stress and a social media after every bad game or the fear of failure will settle in the minds of our players.
Watching this modern Pakistan test team feels like watching an aged boxer trying to compete past his prime.
I don’t believe Pakistan cricket doesn’t need another new captain or another coach or yet again knee jerk reaction.
It needs a full dismantling of the PCB and a complete rebuild. Not that it would ever happen, but if I was in charge of fixing Pakistan cricket this is what I would do :
1. Get politicians out of the PCB The people running Pakistan cricket should have actual cricket administration experience and not be from a political party. The roles should be given pity on competence and skillset alone.
2. Put cricket people in charge of cricket An independent cricket committee made up of former players, quality coaches, selectors, data analysts and experienced administrators
3. Build a 5–10 year plan Stop changing direction and knee jerk reacting every time a new chairman arrives. Have the nerve to stick with a strategy
4. Rebuild domestic cricket The Quaid-e-Azam Trophy and other domestic competitions need to be genuinely competitive, well funded and also taken into consideration when it comes to selection. This is where the next generation of Pakistan cricketers need to learn their trade.
5. Create a pathway to international cricket Schools, districts, regions, U19, domestic, Pakistan A, and then Pakistan main team.
Selection should wholly be based on talent and not who you know or where you come from.
6. Make selection transparent Players should know what the selection criteria should be. Create a criteria based on performance, fitness, consistency, fielding and suitability to the role they are fulfilling. No more random selection and shoe horning someone on in.
7. Stop the constant chopping and changing Coaches and captains need time to build something meaningful, this isn’t an overnight fix. Give them clear targets and judge them over a prolonged period not after three bad games.
8. Make professionalism non-negotiable Central contracts should come with responsibilities. Fitness, preparation, domestic availability and discipline shouldn't be optional because someone is a big name, if you can’t meet this then you’re on your bike.
9 Make the PCB accountable Publish a clear and transparent annual report showing exactly how Pakistan cricket is performing against all the measures it is set. Then hold the people running it responsible for the results and correcting things that are needed.
I don’t believe Pakistan cricket's biggest problem is a lack of talent. It’s more the talent just doesn’t have the structure and stability to allow it to thrive.
If they really want change then this isn’t going to be a quick fix and they need to be in it for the long term.
For me the most important part is the word cricket in the Pakistan Cricket Board. It should be a cricket board first and not the political body that has some cricket attached.
I’m available for consultancy work if the PCB want to be serious.
I remember a time where our cricket used to be so strong that fans would think the only reason we lost was because players purposely underperformed for some extra 💵

Saw Main Vaapas Aaunga movie yesterday.
Understood why my late parents who came from Pakistan (Punjab) spoke endlessly about their land of birth. They had good memories of growing up years & the friends they made & left behind never to meet again. They understood that both sides suffered - perhaps it was unavoiable since the times were such. They had wisdom to teach me to think beyond one's religion . That all humans deserve respect & dignity. This could be one reason why I am most comfortable in Kashmir - Muslim majority place much like my parents' Punjab.
Now, this is not my emotive rambling. But a good reason why I want India & Pakistan to normalise relations. Make it easy for both sides to walk across Attari-Wagah border.
My big thank you to all who made this movie. Special thanks to Imtiaz Ali & the great Naseeruddin Shah!
Elon just called Hitler a socialist again, and every time he does this, Grok corrects him and points out that Hitler was a fascist.

Those are convicted criminals released from Moroccan prisons onto Spain's shores at Gibraltar and jobless, poor young men gathered up and lied to about a better life.

Holy shlit. This is real. He literally said it aloud for the whole world to hear.
And still the disgusting bought and paid for shills will pretend like this is an “organic invasion” and not a literal Zionist military operation against a country unwilling to submit.
