Recently, we announced our investment in @the_atlas_ai
Today I want to share a different side of @ArpitM7, the one I've had the privilege of seeing up close.
We sat down for an intriguing conversation. Just two people who've spent years thinking about the same problem, finally putting it all on record.
We talked about his time at @Stellaris_VP, what kept him up at night before he decided to build and how he thinks about the hardest parts of what Atlas is trying to do.
A couple of things Arpit touched upon that I found interesting-
➡️ On humans in the loop: where does AI stop and human judgment begin, and why getting that boundary wrong is the fastest way to lose a customer's trust
➡️ On switching from investor to founder: what looks obvious from the outside and what hits completely differently when it's your own money, your own team, and your own problem to solve
If my previous post made you curious about Atlas, this conversation is where the real texture is.

Singapore-based AI startup @the_atlas_ai, which helps accounting firms deploy AI systems to increase capacity, has raised $6 Mn (₹55.4 Cr) in its seed funding round from early stage investors Accel and Stellaris Venture Partners.👇
The startup intends to utilise the fresh capital to expand its AI platform across accounting workflows, grow its network of partner accounting firms in North America and accelerate go-to-market efforts. Atlas acts as an AI implementation platform that helps accounting firms deploy AI to automate routine workflows and improve operational efficiency.
Founded in 2025 by ex-Stellaris Venture Partners’ principal Arpit Maheshwari (@ArpitM7) and ex-Paisabazaar CTO @jagmal, Atlas aims to act as an AI assistant for accounting firms.

@championswimmer Your chart shows data for past 4 years, only one of them had Diwali in October. Can one deduce that just by looking at the graphs? No.
That, in itself, proves that the chronic pollution problem is not due to Diwali firecrackers.
@jsensarma Basically Perennial Pessimist.
Because I can not deny the solution or problem at broad level, I try and nitpick some detail.
Metro banaya koi baat nahin, but some tiles were broken. Such a shoddy work. Basically, always move focus onto finding faults.
@vijaythirumalai If Nano banana works as good as demos make it work, then Go Looonnnng Google. Else, back to usual - Long Google.
Considering it might not be the only thing Google is building, maybe recommended action is Loonng Google.
@jsensarma@unraveaero 100%
People who think this is a great argument have to then argue for the dog’s predator in food chain to be allowed to roam freely in urban areas.
@99sachins@elonmusk Agree 100%.
- Quality of infra can be way better -- there is no excuse for that
- Infra supply can be built faster too
PS: I think we are improving on speed over last few decades, but quality is questionable.
