Craft over hype.
Product taste · AI that works because it’s measured.

I care less about what AI can demo
and more about what it can reliably do.

I spend my time on product taste, harnesses, and evals,
the unglamorous work that makes systems feel magical.

If that resonates, you'll like it here.

@Rashidkhasanov funny part is the marketing tools are the easiest to clone, so their buyers end up with five of them

[Hemant Jain @JainIsLive]

@Choley_Bhature @LotiqLab did you add a status banner after, or is the plan to just pray the next outage is short?

[Hemant Jain @JainIsLive]

@SSShken 7 of 17 already built their own fix. that's the signal. what do their homemade versions look like?

[Hemant Jain @JainIsLive]

@thejoshstahlX @CoinDealerPro collectibles is a fun space. is the hard part pricing and grading, or getting dealers to switch tools?

[Hemant Jain @JainIsLive]

@sridharfyi curious which stage surprised you most. idea-stage people pitching like they're scaling?

[Hemant Jain @JainIsLive]

@VaibhavSisinty the best part is keeping the creds on his own machine. most car apps send your key to a server for no reason

[Hemant Jain @JainIsLive]

@pfernan95dev the clones copy the 83% cheaper part and skip the part where he already had an audience

[Hemant Jain @JainIsLive]

@Andy_chiky an auth table vanishing on its own sounds like a migration the AI ran and never mentioned

[Hemant Jain @JainIsLive]

@CobaltHere the plumber asking chatgpt about sandwiches is the most accurate market research i've seen all week

[Hemant Jain @JainIsLive]

@aryanXmahajan the $10k check is for the demo. the second check depends on whether it still works in month three

[Hemant Jain @JainIsLive]

@piyushgarg_dev vibe-coded payments sounds fun right up to the first refund that goes out twice

[Hemant Jain @JainIsLive]

@DaveShapi same model, same prompts, now it runs while you sleep. what actually changed besides the name?

[Hemant Jain @JainIsLive]

@_lennoxomondi the 10,000-users pitch only lands if Mbiti can explain what breaks first. that's the part worth learning early

What I check before any AI app goes live:

• no secret in the frontend, ever
• .env in .gitignore before the first commit
• a secret scanner on every push
• a spending cap on every AI key
• if one leaks: rotate it first. Deleting the commit isn't a fix

Leaked API keys don't expire on their own.

GitGuardian retested secrets it had confirmed valid in 2022. In January 2026, over 64% still worked.

What the 2026 data says about AI-written code and leaked keys:

It's not only GitHub. Escape scanned 5,600+ public vibe-coded apps and found 400+ exposed secrets, including OpenAI keys and admin payment keys.

Many sat in frontend JavaScript bundles. Anything shipped to the browser is public.

@philipletts "designed around a specific assumption" is the bit most people skip. if you can't name what it's testing, it's not an MVP

@David_cbolt the Claude limit forcing a social break is a classic. what's ContextBolt solving?
