@asfreeasjafri @darab_farooqui Glad that you are approving the idea(& power) of using memes and Internet culture props for community mobilisation. It is definitely not trivialising or mocking our own misery.
Ref: your staunch disagreement to @juneymb and @qaummunist using a meme.
Afghanistan is a reminder of how dysfunctional and repressive most of the governments of the Muslim-majority world are. What happened to the ‘ummah’? Why not throw your doors open to refugees? Why not use your collective power, resources, weapons, wealth, to tackle the Taliban?
Here’s an idea.
Pakistan and the Gulf countries have long had (some/different forms of) leverage over the Taliban.
Pakistan and the Gulf countries are allies of America.
Maybe America focuses on pressuring its allies.

Last night - the Afghan Taliban took out this double Masters degree holder in Economics and History from his home in Oruzgan and killed him. They are killing our best and brightest every day. The intellectuals, poets, artists and any sign of modernity is their enemy.
