Also the only positive thing I’ve heard for earlier start times is “well it’s nice to be done earlier” but for me personally, 2PM-6PM is all a blur anyway so I don’t mind starting later still getting done around 3-4PM. Still a couple hours earlier than most 9-5s
As someone who worked for a school that started at 7:20AM I am all for later start times. Not only does most data point towards the benefits of a later start times but I also saw the differences between students in those early classes versus later. @tsmitner #ci5307
Really interesting article on school start times. I’ve seen noticeable differences between the level of interactions between early hours and later hours in my class. Are you all for later start times? Sound off below 👇 #ci5307 @tsmitner
Have been watching different videos of my peers teaching through VideoAnt. It has been really cool seeing different styles and lessons through video! VideoAnt is good but a little archaic in my opinion @tsmitner #ci5307
After having a few different classes and meetings on various platforms (Zoom, Google Meets, Teams, etc.) I still think Zoom is the superior platform for online meetings. At least the free version #ci5307
Does anyone know a good ‘exit ticket’ software or app that could be used at an end of a lesson? Just something where I can see all student writings at once and something that’s easy to share out with them. #ci5307
I also used Google Forms on my last day when I’ve never set one up before and I loved the feedback variety, ease of use and, of course, responses from students #ci5307
On my last day at my placement, I used a Google Forms to get student feedback! Very easy and useful way to hear students voices with technology. #ci5307 @tsmitner
Just got done wrapping up my portfolio through Wix! It’s very user-friendly but as I continued it did crash a couple times. Still would recommend if you’re looking for a site to make your portfolio for #ci5307
Going into my spring placement today to get a feel for the classroom, kids, school, etc! Very excited. Reminder that module 7 is due for #ci5307 including tweets!
As we are wrapping up our last #ci5307 module, I want to try a poll for the class as a whole. What as your favorite concept learned in this course? @tsmitner
What is everyone’s experience with Google Classroom? My cooperating teacher really liked it with all its feedback and grading features. Anyone had any issues? #ci5307 @tsmitner
Padlet is such an easy replacement for the traditional paper and pencil exit ticket! I am going to use it a lot more than I did before!
