The data is in: This fall, Minnesota schools served 4.3 million more breakfasts and 4.5 million more lunches.
That’s a lot more full kids – and money back in families’ pockets.
Not a bad way to celebrate School Breakfast Week.
Hi all! I am a grad student working towards my M.Ed. and licensure in 5-12 social studies at @UMN_CEHD.
If I were a principal, I would hire @zcourtney6 before me because he is much better at fantasy football. He dominated me this season en route to winning the championship!
Just got done wrapping up my portfolio through Wix! It’s very user-friendly but as I continued it did crash a couple times. Still would recommend if you’re looking for a site to make your portfolio for #ci5307
On #GivingTuesday, a friendly reminder that too many educators rely on donations to provide the quality education their students deserve. In 2023, it's time to change that. #mnleg#edmnvotes#donorschoose

Padlet is such an easy replacement for the traditional paper and pencil exit ticket! I am going to use it a lot more than I did before!

@aliciakeys Alicia! My classmates and myself are future teachers and a few of us are creating a project for students revolving around your YA comic book. We would love to have you zoom into our class to tell us about you work! We love you! #GirlOnFire#up2us
Twitter fam, thank you for helping me to find the family of the 9 year old girl from NJ who had the police called on her by her neighbor for collecting lantern flies. I connected with them & invited them to @yale for a Black girl led Science Tour! Yesterday—HISTORY was MADE (1/)
This is a great resource to show students when it comes to analyzing bias in major media outlets #CI5307
How can we do the same for individual influencers/celebrities?
One thing I was thinking, how do we teach media literacy when media is always changing?
TikTok came out of nowhere and consists of nonstop content, how can we give students the skills to adapt to new media?
I’m finding that teaching about content instead of skills is so much easier and more enjoyable for me.
Anyone have engaging ideas for teaching about media literacy, reliable sources, or other skill-based lessons?? @tsmitner #ci5307
@mrbartucz A5: I am going to continue to keep in mind that just because there is a trend of students having devices, it does not mean they can easily access WiFi or homework time at home. Students should have work time in class! #CI5307#PSTPLN
@mrbartucz A3: This is a minor thing but I genuinely need a tutorial on how to fix tech when it doesn’t work in the classroom. Such a helpless feeling when you just don’t know why something isn’t working #CI5307#PSTPLN
@mrbartucz A2:
Jam board is my favorite by far. Students can add their ideas collaboratively and it’s more anonymous than walking up and physically writing on the board.
The ability to include images as well allows for more creative participation!

@mrbartucz Hi I’m Eric!
Q1: I am going to offer a variety of different activities so students can utilize their various learning styles! This includes different forms of technology being used the classroom as well!

the student went through 4 stations learning about cultural aspects of indigenous people of Australia. One of stations student looked at art detailed the journey of indigenous children taken away from their homes going back to their roots. Students then created there own journey
Today in class we did an artistic interpretation of vocabulary assignment - the students loved it & most decided to use good ol’ physical paper rather than their chromebooks! #CI5307 @tsmitner
