Developing a new cultural operating system for humans called 'Cooperative Coalescence'. Proponent for open knowledge, and advocate for the social superorganism.
@RenamedAccount the world is messed up because everything has been bought, commodified, and sold. working class people only have scraps to fight over, with social scapegoats having blame cast on them by the people who did the pillaging.
I'm really glad that this guy got run for US Senate unopposed so that he could get to the bottom of real issues like all those nasty companies that are lying about what can be classified as "real milk". This will surely save Vermont's economy and reverse our housing crisis.
@RenamedAccount the point being that peter welch can be a lame career politician contributing to the problems in the world through incompetence, and also that trans people aren’t a cause for social problems.
@RenamedAccount i don’t really intend or expect to change your mind in a single tweet convo, but just to be another instance of an alternative presented for you to reflect on; there are alternative, less destructive ways to see the world that isn’t “becoming a democrat”.
@RenamedAccount and I say this with sincerity for your best interest. anger is consuming, and when directed at the wrong thing is just a cause of more pain. they want you to hate other people who have already been kicked to the ground, because it absolves them of accountability.
@RenamedAccount looked at your profile, and I just wanted to say that I think you're angry at the wrong people. career politicians and MSM both serve corporate masters who have gutted the working class of all creeds for profit. it's not trans or non-white people that are "deteriorating society".
@neil_chilson@armigueddon@computerfact@swodinsky when you spend too much time thinking about the shiny theories of a perfect capitalism and it’s market dynamics that you don’t have any time left over to look at the reality of how things play out.
@StripClubJosh@NorikSigma@Noahpinion@SizeMichael@reddit_lies the problem is that people don’t understand that living things need to be maintained in order to survive, and that communities of people are living things. it’s a very wrong understanding of the world to believe a community maintains itself without effort, as if it were plastic
I support Jason for City Council.
We need to build people-oriented places because of the housing and climate crises.
This includes zoning reform and building protected bicycle infrastructure.
If you are caucusing tonight, vote for Jason for a better Burlington. #btv#vtpoli
twitter got so shitty that my city's solid waste district even decided to leave. how am i supposed to find out when the compost facility randomly closed for no reason now 😔
Our governance systems makes no room for the possibility that some organization would have a complex and integrated relationship to the broader social organism, only that it is Property™ to be done with as the Owner pleases, and Rightfully So.
Thinking about the new level of forced corporate irresponsibility it is that there was no moral component to selling twitter, only a fiduciary duty to shareholders.

“Are there enough people who understand the emergent malicious campaigns that happen on the service and understand it well enough to guide product strategy and policy direction?” he asked. “I don’t think that there are enough people left at the company who can do that work.”
e man has been unbanning literal facists and nazis, and then letting them tell him who he should actually ban, and taking their words at face value. this website is literally just one of those alt-right shit holes now. if you're still here in earnest, you should leave.
@___merl does this man genuinely not realize that people who respond to his polls are delusional superfans and bots? this feels like the ultimate caricature of silicon valley CEO
@mollymcghee basically same deal when i moved back to burlington in 2020. 2015 was paying $500 (1/3 of $1500) for a 3bd/1ba w/ 2 roommates, now I'm living in a 500sqft 1br/1ba with partner for $1650. perhaps not quite as extreme, but there's zero opportunity for ownership here
i only come on this website to satisfy my curiosity about what kind of insane shit the e-man did today, and to see if he's in jail yet. as far as i'm concerned, this is just his personal blog/fan club with a really broad and deranged comments section
having been part time federated social for three months, and full time for about a month now, my takeaway is that its like being on twitter but with more features, all of the idiots are not there, and there's no ads. and on top of that, it's very difficult for that to change!
