Thank you for being here today. Your support means a lot to the whole team. We will get back to flight, and we will get to the Moon. Gradatim Ferociter.
Congrats and a huge thank you to the SpaceX team that always delivers. This was an incredible first flight of a brand new vehicle. Our collective future flying amongst the stars has become so much closer.
The Nancy Grace Roman Space Telescope is in final preparations for an early September launch, eight months AHEAD of schedule and UNDER budget.
This milestone is the result of more than a decade of dedication and millions of hours of work by NASA and our industry partners. Their commitment is what’s making this moment possible and helping drive Gold Standard Science.
Roman will help answer some of the biggest questions in science, investigating dark matter, dark energy, and the structure of the universe. Its images will be so large and detailed, there isn’t a screen in existence big enough to display them.
This is just the beginning.
Home, again! Mission complete. I hope we glorified God, humanity, our families and our terrific teams a @NASA and @csa_asc. Time to share the good news!
Artemis crew, starting re-entry: "And we have a great view of the moon out the window too. Looks a little smaller than yesterday :)"
Houston: "Guess we'll have to go back :)"

Earthset.
The Artemis II crew captured this view of an Earthset on April 6, 2026, as they flew around the Moon. The image is reminiscent of the iconic Earthrise image taken by astronaut Bill Anders 58 years earlier as the Apollo 8 crew flew around the Moon.
Countdown is on. Orion’s late-stow is complete, batteries are charged, and final pad configuration begins tonight. The Mission Evaluation Team in Houston is ready. Orion is set to fly.
Genuine tears in my eyes, I can’t believe it.
Artemis was a complete unsustainable shit show but has been revamped into a really damn good program, we’ve known SLS can achieve higher flight rate and they’re finally going for it 🥲
It never made sense to me that A III was a straight up landing anyways, ironically SLS has proved that it could fly again before then and having only the second manned mission of the program be manned lunar landing seemed risky for no reason.
EUS is dead, like completely dead Thank god 🙏
This is just all so surreal, I knew NASA would see change with Jared but I didn’t think it would be this quick and severe, it’s genuinely amazing
NASA teams successfully fueled the Artemis II rocket during tonight’s prelaunch test for the lunar mission.
Our Artemis experts will answer questions about the important milestone and next steps during a briefing tomorrow at 11am ET (1600 UTC). https://t.co/fVjFOmK5dy
Immense pride seeing the rocket reach 100% fuel load last night, especially knowing how challenging the scenario was for our launch team doing the dangerous and unforgiving work. The crew just shared a peaceful breakfast with our families and we jump back into training tomorrow to start our preps for a March launch to the Moon.
The wet dress rehearsal for the Artemis II mission around the Moon began at 8:13pm ET on Jan. 31 and will continue tomorrow with @NASAKennedy teams fueling the rocket.
The results from this test will help inform teams about a possible launch date. https://t.co/8wBtyGUeh6
