Maybe Google will roll back their latest updates, maybe they won’t.
What I do know though is the average consumer doesn’t care as much as we like to think about you being an “independent publisher” or your “rigorous testing process”.
They want a recommendation, a bit of detail, some justification and enough confidence you’ve done some more Googling than they have.
Whether we like it or not the buying guides from the big publishers are nearly always “good enough.”
They almost certainly won’t think “ooh Google if only you’d surfaced a site that wasn’t private equity owned. One that actually conducted 38 different tests.”

Nothing fancy. Just simple instructions and loads and loads and loads of links.
The worst way to do ideation is to sit everyone in a room together without any prior research or insights.
Coming up with good ideas on the spot is rare, better ideas require time and exploration.
