@pptsapper It’s amazing how many people with strong opinions have never read this:
“Our position is thoroughly identified with the institution of slavery--the greatest material interest of the world.”

This from someone who abandoned his state during a historic winter storm to vacation in Cancun.
Nobody takes you seriously at this point.
And that’s Leader Jeffries to you, Edward.
@JohnStrandUSA@MarkFMiddleton@JaliseMiddleton They got to present their case before the jury. They did not have to prove their innocence-they simply had to cast reasonable doubt on the case against them to be free today
Our system of justice gave them every chance but-having heard the evidence-the jury decided against them
Donald Trump violated his oath to uphold the Constitution when he incited an attack on our democracy January 6. He is unfit to be President of the United States.
I have never wavered in my sworn oath to uphold the Constitution, and I will always stand for rule of law.
"Young men have lower graduation rates, lower grades, lower workforce participation rates, higher unemployment. Young men have been suffering and struggling over the last 10 years in an accelerating form, and so if you're alienated, Trump is sort of your meal ticket," David Brooks says. https://t.co/IMJ17jRNJI
@GBostockTAAB@megbasham Well, those believe in the Trinity believe that Jesus was fully human. That means he made errors
Here, he certainly made a complete about-face and chose to treat the woman as his neighbor after rejecting her initially
It’s OK if you choose not to call that rejection an error
@megbasham You could be helping. You could be telling your followers to call their Senators and Representatives and demand that Congress go back in session to pass supplemental funding for FEMA.
Instead, you sow dissent, discord, and division. This is not loving your neighbor as yourself.
Mark Robinson shows how easy it is for crazy people to manipulate Trump with flattery.
Trump didn’t care Mark was nuts—he endorsed him anyway because Mark said he was cool a few times.
The lesson here: if a novice like Mark can do it, so will Putin and our enemies.
Canadian here.
We don’t have prayer in schools, or the Ten Commandments, or God. We also don’t have dead kids.
No Canadian child has ever died in a mass shooting in an elementary school. We have guns. What we don’t have is Republicans.
American has to get rid of Republicans.
Hitler didn’t operate the gas chambers himself. But he was responsible.
Manson didn’t kill anyone himself. But he was responsible.
Bin Laden didn’t fly the planes himself. But he was responsible.
Trump didn’t storm the Capitol himself. But he was responsible.
Justice matters.
@aduehren You asserted that Hakeem Jeffries misled us when he pointed out that, by the law the GOP passed, tax cuts for most of us will expire
The GOP had the option of making those cuts permanent and chose not to. Why is it misleading to hold the GOP responsible for its acts?
@NRO@NoahCRothman Unless your children have submitted applications for "heir" and have been identified (by an objectively unbiased process) as the best candidates, you are engaged in affirmative action
This is true even if the affirmative action is a "fundament of the ... social compact"
@nytimes That looks like a lot of policy for a campaign that is “ Light on policy”. And why are you surprised that politician highlights the policies that were most directly benefit voters? Do you not understand how elections work?
