@artemiseverfree @bb010g Are your apps running on a machine with more compute power than your display server? Disabling indirect rendering by disabling GLX might give you a performance boost, who knows? 😅

@artemiseverfree @bb010g So I wonder if disabling GLX on your X11R6 server would let you get rid of the Xnest layer. The stack you've put together is amazing as-is and doesn't really need to be fixed, but I'm still a little bit curious what's going on.

@artemiseverfree @bb010g Heh, were any apps using GLX? There was a bug in the XFree86 server, I think in the X11R6 era, where it returned the wrong length in GLXGetFBConfigs replies. XCB has a workaround but it probably doesn't fire when used underneath Xlib, since they were integrated after the bugfix.

If you ever need to turn a device on and isolate it from WiFi connections but you don't know how to build a faraday cage, good news. Your microwave is a 2.4ghz faraday cage stick it in that (just maybe unplug the microwave so you don't accidentally turn it on)
