"We are bound together by the task that stands before us and the road that lies ahead. We are bound and we are bound." - James Taylor in "Shed a Little Light"
@techteach_csub The rubric would be a great indicator for the teacher to check for student understanding. It can function much like the common core standards. Know where your students fall on the rubric would guide classroom instruction. #EDTE4100Summer2020TC13
@lovecynn@techteach_csub A rubric like this would help students understand that teachers don’t just randomly grade, nor do they choose favorites. It also makes grading easier for teachers. #EDTE4100Summer2020TC13
@stormmborrn @techteach_csub Agreed! Prezi is highly interactive, so that already engages students in the lesson. They will be more inclined to earnestly work on a project if the technology is engaging. #EDTE4100Summer2020TC12
@techteach_csub Quizizz is a really fun platform, much like Kahoot, but they can take the quizzes by themselves or in a group. This is super engaging, and it can ensure complete mastery of a skill. #EDTE4100Summer2020TC11
@leesaciz@techteach_csub My students love Kahoot. It’s like tricking kids into eating their veggies. They don’t mind learning things if you teach it in a fun way. They love to create and participate in Kahoot. #EDTE4100Summer2020TC11
@techteach_csub Flipgrid would be great to use as a study guide because in order to have complete mastery of a subject, you have to be able to teach it, so presenting on Flipgrid would require mastery. #EDTE4100Summer2020TC10
@leesaciz@lovecynn@techteach_csub I used Quizlet a lot while studying for the CSET and CBEST. It is so convenient to have on your phone and study wherever you are. However, I would def want to have them create a study guide for themselves instead of depend on what’s there. #EDTE4100Summer2020TC10
@sandlesd My experience with Twitter in this and other classes has been great, and I’m at a 10 with my comfort level using this platform. Things on Twitter can get dark real fast, so discourse like this is wonderful. #edte4200
@msgmendivil@sandlesd I also like to interact in this way because it helps you get to know your peers, which is difficult with all this distancing. #edte4200
@MistiRoyal7 @sandlesd Agreed. Twitter can be very useful for networking and collaboration, for spreading the word about various things and having great discussions. But it can also be abused very easily. Being a responsible and kind social media user is important. #EDTE4200
@EricaFinks@sandlesd I used Google Forms quite a bit last semester, it was really nice to get all the analytics that it provides as far as comprehension and so forth. #edte4200
@techteach_csub I found out about Quizizz this semester and I am excited to give it a try. You can turn it into a competition amongst students in individual or team form and check for understanding as you move along in your lesson. #EDTE4100Summer2020TC9
@sandlesd I really like Remind because it allows me to connect with parents quickly, I don’t have to add their numbers to my phone to identify them, and it translates for me so I can communicate with my Spanish speaking families.
@shearsandrea1 @plunkett4200 @sandlesd Google Classroom is a key tool for me too. I used it a lot before distance learning and it became essential during the last quarter.
