@discipulusjesu Thank you for your work, and research Reverend. I watched through this video. This is a very interesting perspective, considering the modern online debates on this I've seen. I hope you are right that the moderate reading is the true reading. Excited for the next video!
@ThatRedCatholic@TD_B89 It's on Roman Catholic ecuminicle dialogue, its on many things. I'm mostly interested in sacramental sharing. But if you look it up it should come up on Google, it's a pretty big deal so.
@TD_B89 Like using this logic Satan fears you and me more than God or Mary. But we know it would be a bit of an arrogant, improper and scandalous thing to say "Satan fears me more than he fears the Angels, Mary, and God almighty."
@TD_B89 I mean anyone would, but l think its still unlikely they fear the finite creature more than the all powerful God. The statement is just incoherent.
@RevJaredJones Gosh this was probably the best podcast episode I've watched in a while. I feel like if you had Rev. River Devereux on this discussion it might have been the greatest podcast episode ever recorded ๐
@2018ztal@UntoldFortune No, the exception is if you are clergy in some jurisdictions. Even then the sort of consensus is you agree to the spirit of the articles than the precise words.
@2018ztal@UntoldFortune And if it makes you feel better, Anglicans came into agreement with the Roman Catholic church in the essential teaching or "transubstantiation" through an eschatological lens.
The main problem is you have to stop thinking about theology so systematically, and think mystically.
@2018ztal@UntoldFortune Brother you know that the 39 articles isnt our infallible magisterial teaching.... Do you think Jesus loves you and the world? Do you think Jesus works through the sacraments and beyond? Do you think Christians exist outside of a single institution? Then become Anglican.
@2018ztal@UntoldFortune What are your hangups? It's probably the only Apostolic tradition that you can be an honest Christian in these days, while being "Protestant."
