I think many read too fast and don't fully process what they read. I've actually had people (non-adopted) write me I should be ashamed of calling myself abandoned. When I tell them that is what happened, they say, oh really, damn! (It's a wild world out there online!)
@afstandsMoeder @chemcoco @janetrwk@haleyradke@adopteeson ...them as 'serial offenders' and told me that it was more common than not that the women in the home ie birth mothers, would have more than 1 baby given up.
Perfectly reasonable question to ask and should be asked.

@akaalison1@afstandsMoeder @chemcoco @haleyradke@adopteeson I'm with you. Many people do not have the same experience, so perhaps they cannot understand why you are asking. My bio mother was a serial abandoner. She physically abandoned 5 babies, I was one of them. I'm glad I survived.
Evangelical adoptive parents, adoptions are not an act of destiny or God’s will. Keeping the discussion of adoption at a divine level ignores the social, political, economic disparities that are the true drivers of adoption and ensures they will continue. #NAAM18#NAAM#Adoption
Thank-you, @akaalison1. I appreciate your support and keeping the truth of adoption conversation flowing. It is so important to get the truth out there.
@janetrwk@adopteeson@haleyradke Janet I am listening to you on @adopteeson with @haleyradke
I am in awe of you, your dedication, preseverence, integrity, story-telling, searching abilities, empathy & grace!
Your search, story, background & bio family info is so WOW!
As an adoptee I can somewhat relate xx
#wherearethedads - inspired to start this hashtag after most recent @adopteeson with @janetrwk and her amazing dads. I suspect most dads are enveloped in shame, unable to step forward to admit they didn’t fulfil the role of father. They’re scared, afraid, & ashamed. Step up, men!
Tune in and listen to my dads. It is rare to have men talk in the adoption community. My dads are proud to talk about their experience, and doing this with Haley has been a blessing.
Season 4 Finale! Listen in to an incredibly intimate conversation between @janetrwk and both of her fathers, Emil Weinreich, and Gordon Keall. We discuss the inspiring relationship they’ve all built together, and ponder, "where are all the fathers?" https://t.co/IwOqHc7S7l
Listen in to my interview with @adopteeson with @haleyradke. I'm proud to have worked with Haley. What a gem she is to the adoption community! https://t.co/UJ7SqHBjbh
