@hendrixart@danielwarrenart Now, I feel seen. My 6am self always tries to sneak in as much work as possible before my 4:30pm self tries to convince me it’s not worth the effort.

Loving your book @DrChrisWatkin. Curious if there is a book/essay worth reading on this particular subject? Would love a deeper dive on “3 peaks of fulfillment” but don’t see a citation in this section.
@rboothsmith That’s a hard nut to crack. For a sec, I couldn’t think of an alternative, but then I remembered when mentors validated me and how it STILL didn’t cure those invasive thoughts…. I think it actually changes (some) when I recognize mentors/greats doubt themselves too.

Grateful to the visual design team on the article I wrote for @CTmagazine this month, especially artist Michael Marsicano. The whole spread is well done, but just consider the secondary illustration: This baby hand powerfully upholds the message. Let me count the ways.

While laying prostrate on my son’s bedroom floor, he suddenly body-slams me.
To which I say “ouch”
To which he says “oops, I didn’t mean to…”
To which my wife and I, in unison, complete with “…call you that.” 🎸🎵
Great summary of how the evolution of Instagram has left the illustration field without a home. But the question still stands… what’s next??
