I am planning the 2025 Pacific Northwest Water Research Symposium. It is put on by Hydrophiles, a student-led club at Oregon State. Tentative dates are May 8th & 9th, 2025. The theme is TBD, but if you or anyone you know are interested please reach out to me! More below ⬇️
Some previous panels we have done are communities of knowledge panel, career panel, and grant writing workshop. Our speakers for this year presented on water policy & the Klamath Dam removal, but it is very flexible.

We are holding it in the PRAx, a new building at OSU centered around art & humanities. We are very excited for the integration of science & water & art! https://t.co/bMOMukL2oV
@jasmineakrause & I finished up a took survey of ~500-m of Oak Creek in support of work with @_ClarissaGlaser. River corridor modeling, solute transport, respiration, radon, & more all co-located & contemporaneous. Method & model intercomparisons are incoming soon! #hydrology
Want to think more about winter this summer?
Check out Dr. Noelle Patterson’s and my talk about snow, mountain streams and water quality in the #TahoeBasin at @TaylorCreekVC this Friday!

Reports suggest 93 people are dead, 1000 people missing still, and 2700 structures destroyed. To consider this an economic opportunity to acquire land for development & profit is beyond the pale. The colonial speculation of disaster capitalism is happening right now in Lāhainā.
As a part two from my previous tweet, I am excited to announce I will be an incoming Water Resources Science Ph.D. student @OregonState@OregonStateBEE this Fall under @WardHydro working at @HJA_Live! Go beavs! 🦫
SO excited to have @jasmineakrause joining our team!! If you’re not following her, time to sign up! Streams, hyporheic zones, metabolism, & more!
Welcome to #Corvallis#GoBeavs
As I wrap up my technician position in @jrblasz’s lab, I reflect on how grateful I am to have worked with so many amazing scientists (@heili_lowman, @KellyALoria, @jrblasz to name a few) and to have lived and worked in Reno/Tahoe. Feeling very nostalgic 🥲🫶🏻
