Lots of people to me lately: How can you say "Black Lives Matter" without affirming everything the org supports?
Me: The same way I call myself a Christian without affirming everything the Church has done, or supported.
This thread is worth a read. Has already changed the way our family is processing life for this coming week. This isn’t a fearful response as much as it’s a response of love and care for the vulnerable we are connected to even by a few degrees of separation.
I have a very close friend who’s a researcher studying public health at a major NGO, and he told me that this was THE week to practice as much social distancing as possible, even if you don’t have to go to work.
I asked him to explain why. Sharing his answers w/ permission (1/x)
Things Christians should not do in a pandemic: 1. Tell everyone it’s too late! 2. Tell everyone it’s not a big deal! 3. Act like experts. 4. Make everything about politics.
Things Christians can do: 1. Pray. 2. Trust God. 3. Show compassion. 4. Give thanks in all circumstances.
Feeling overwhelmed today? Remember, your Lord never sends you without going with you and never calls you to a task without giving you grace for the task.

Greenvillians. If you cook some mean food and want to come serve @Eleosministry, I have a great opportunity for you! You may not know this, but we feed students 4 days a week and depend 100% on volunteer groups or individuals. Most folks serve once per quarter. DM if interested!
@calebeatworld@willevanparker@instagram I always mark food ads as “sexually inappropriate” because I don’t think it’s fair that they somehow know my most intimate thoughts and then cater to them right there in my feed?
@LauraLeeSEO@jeannepetrizzo First time I went to Boston was end of November. We decided to do an historic city tour. It was an outdoor tour. Do anything but that.
