@SenWarren Great idea! That way he will leave our country and take all of his money with him 👍🏼 if we are lucky, a lot of other wealthy people will do the same thing. Glad you’re on the cutting edge of forward thinking.
And just like the NFA taxes that were removed from SBR’s and suppressors by the Big Beautiful Bill, why are these items being registered if there are no taxes?
According to the Supreme Court in a ruling from 1937, the NFA is only constitutional because Congress has the legal authority to levy taxes, and the NFA registry is a registration not of the firearms, but of taxes paid.
So if the tax on everything covered under the NFA is $0…there is no constitutionally allowable reason for the NFA to exist. The Supreme Court must strike down the NFA.
James Madison described the powers of the federal government as “few and defined” and those reserved to the states as “numerous and indefinite.”
We’ve been dangerously drifting from that understanding since the 1930s.
The drift has been most evident in areas now most fraught with waste, fraud, and abuse.
If we honored the Constitution’s limits on federal power, there’d be very little waste, fraud, and abuse in our national government.
Share if you’d like to see a “constitutional reset,” in which any government function that’s not obviously and necessarily federal under the Constitution would be returned “to the states respectively, or to the people,” as the Tenth Amendment specifies.
Millions of dollars are shipped to the Taliban every week. The bill to Defund the Taliban is now with Senate Leader @JohnThune. Please urge him to bring it to the floor for a vote. The No Tax Dollars For Terrorists Act has already passed the House and the Senate Committee.
