S3 Vectors hit GA on Dec 2. We moved production traffic the same day.

Three months earlier we ran 25k vectors per customer on multi-tenant HNSWLib and ran out of room. Five options evaluated. The right answer waited until AWS built it.

Every baseline including Claude Haiku scored 0.06 F1 on form abandonment classification. Fine-tuned Llama 3.2 3B hit 0.92.

AWS Lambda Durable Execution broke the 15-minute wall. It also broke every deployment assumption you had.
