Announcing Gemini 4 Argon, our new frontier model.
Argon is built to sustain deep reasoning across complex, long-horizon workflows and delivers frontier performance in complex workflows across real-world software engineering, enterprise knowledge work like legal and finance, and cybersecurity defense.
Weโre also expanding the modelโs output token limit to an industry-leading 1M tokens.
Argon is currently rolling out to a set of trusted cyber defenders in the Fairwind Program, with broader availability as soon as possible.
100%. in a former life when i was studying Architecture, literally everything I designed was inspired by Mondrian and the constructivists. I genuinely think AI just exposes who has something to bring to the table - also turned my final year project from 15 years ago into my web branding over the weekend. Finally generating value for me
@kieranklaassen I feel like once your setup is solid it stops being a quality question and simple cost question. my gut feel is Opus when I need it to think, Sonnet for everything else, (only been using for the past 2 hours)
My controversial take is that AI isn't killing originality. It's exposing people who never had any.
Back in 2011 I was fresh outta uni with an architecture degree and no job, so I painted random stuff. One piece came from the floor plan of a building I designed, mixed with Mondrian and Constructivist design language.
It's been sitting in my office for years, reminding me of the creativity I once had.
Over a weekend I turned it into the brand system for my company. Opus 5.5 pulled the system out of the painting. Claude Code built the site.
My feed is filled with AI Slop, but the way I see it, AI didn't replace my creativity. It's now finally putting it too work and that's pretty awesome. (Vid created by 5.5)
A CS undergrad asked me where he could have most effect in the AI age. I said probably at either extreme: either close to the technology, actually making LLMs, or close to the customer, using AI to give them exactly what they want. Or maybe both if you can stretch that far.
Iโm genuinely curious as to why at this stage people would want to use antigravity and Gemini. Are there any genuine reasons on use cases, product familiarity, stickiness or just price.
Holy shit, wtf is WRONG with Gemini Flash 3.8?!? It has serious mental problems. Look at this session... imagine my surprise when my standard "sync all my repos" prompt went off the rails like this... this LLM needs THERAPY. And no, there is nothing about ANY of that on my box.
if you ever have ai impostor syndrome looking at things i do -- don't. i spend 101% of my day with AI and I still look around and feel so behind, so many things to try, tactics i haven't mastered yet, swarms i'm not swarming, etc etc
don't feel bad - the frontier moves fast ๐
@matthewcanham 8 has been the biggest unlock for me. The more I build with AI, the less I think about โwhich model is smartest?โ and the more I think about the harness around it , context, tools, routing, evals etc
completely changed how I scope what AI should and shouldnโt do.
Astras cool, but is anyone actually one-shotting full 3D BIM builds? Took me about five detailed prompts, feeding it drawings from my 2011 architecture project. More detailed than I expected.
Impressed, but that's about it really.
