@LimitingThe I love the cyber truck and I love The Limiting Factor. You get a heart for articulating your point and spreading it far and wide.
I'm 6 foot. Any warm, insulated space on the cyber truck gets my vote..... unless they are making a "cyber van" in the next few years.
So if you pick chocolate as the thing that goes, does the cake change to vanilla… and the cookies lose their chips?
Is pound cake really cake? Is it everything called cake? How much variation in recipes are we talking? Angel food, German chocolate, and pound cake all treated the same? Would Twinkies suddenly vanish. I need to know these things.
@LimitingThe Your commentary is the most condensed and valuable commentary of any on the internet, please tell me which platform to subscribe to in order to get all of your thoughts and ideas… Patreon, youtube, X…
To the untrained eye, it looks like a chromed out RO system.
That’s nice.
My hope is that I’m missing something.
Ideally, I could read up on it and understand the engineering specifications by which it was designed.
What is it designed to tackle?
How long will it last?
What’s the duty cycle?
I get a little worried when I see stock RO parts with shiny skins.
You do realize Greg, that you are an inner monologue incarnate.
If https://t.co/x7PKyUw37u was a sentient organism, it would ask us questions that would be indistinguishable from Greg’s questions.
The first AI to achieve AGI will speak like Arnold Swarzenneger, but the second and more important one, will sound like Greg.
If four people are walking shoulder-to-shoulder taking up the whole sidewalk, the ones on the side of the oncoming flow from the other direction move out of the way, it doesn’t matter if they are hot or not.
Most everything else is a variation of the right of way analysis. Rarely do you see two people walking directly at each other down the center of the sidewalk unless they are both a little delusional and oblivious. In those circumstances, the most oblivious fails to move or simply runs into the person in front of them.
It’s been my experience that people flow like water, if you slow your speed, people will naturally flow around the slower moving person even if you are coming straight at each other. If a person doesn’t naturally do that it is a sign that there is something a little off with that person.
I watched Alien as a six year old. I couldn’t look at a person’s chest without imaging something bursting out of it until I hit puberty and was distracted by girls.
The blood flowing out of the elevator in the shining and the static from the poltergeist were a close second.
However, I saw them inreruns when I was older so no big deal.
@garyblack00 Gary, even if you catch some flak for you consertive views on Tesla, keep them coming.
We know Wall Street thinks like you, but even more conservative.
My preference is to know what you think even if you miss what’s coming with AI.
@greg16676935420 The only thing that would make this image better is Greg in the tree line looking at Zuck who is looking in the window.
Please, please, please… someone make this happen.
Think of it like this….
https://t.co/x7PKyUw37u is “the everything app.” More specifically, it is everything related to how you spend your money and how you connect to your web of relationships and information.
The key piece is identity. Once you have a secure, verified digital identity, markets can be created (i.e. E-bay, Amazon, AirBnb, Uber, Lyft…). https://t.co/x7PKyUw37u will do this.
You can interact, get news from, and learn from anyone on the planet.
If you want to buy house, buy stock, sell your car… https://t.co/x7PKyUw37u will be a platform where you can transact in a digital market with some degree of trust and vast reach.
https://t.co/hLW0csKJ63 will be the platform for digital intelligence. It will research the fundamental science that underpins the universe, AGi (Artificial General Intelligence), and generate new and novel content to enlighten and entertain everyone, everywhere, for all time.
https://t.co/bvTfBQdjZ9 could be created as the umbrella to house both his proposed university and any other advances he decides to make in the education system. It could be like Khan Academy, Wikipedia, and the World’s best research universities rolled into a single entity.
https://t.co/HojtY3juc9 could be created to be like Wikipedia, Wolfram Alpha, and all the World’s research journals rolled into one. It could be funded by a massive perpetual grant. The content format could be modernized such that it could easily be ingested into AI systems as content for training and it could be made freely available for all. It could be the grist by which expert systems in the area of Law, Medicine, Education, Architecture and Engineering, Art, and Journalism are created.
X is far bigger than a social media app. The sooner he rips off the band-aid, the easier it will be for people to forget and make the transition.
Right now Twitter is a private company. He just started https://t.co/EmAzqtn2ZQ.
There is some rationale to make Twitter https://t.co/LLUqPZvj0C to indicate it is part of his X portfolio.
Maybe he’ll add other X companies in the future or maybe all the offerings will roll up under these two.
Maybe he’ll even roll up his proposed university under https://t.co/bvTfBQdjZ9.
You could even see an https://t.co/HojtY3juc9 which rolls up and gives access to all human knowledge. It could be like Wikipedia, wolfram alpha, and all the world’s research journals on steroids.
@sagemountie@garyblack00 It's Elon's original vision for PayPal from over 20 years ago that was never realized because he left PayPal and started SpaceX and Tesla.
https://t.co/cgeTvljtxq
SpaceX will use Starlink to fund rocket production and development.
I can see a world where https://t.co/hLW0csKJ63 will build AI platforms that can write books and generate movies as good as anything Hollywood, Netflix, Disney+, or Apple can do today at a fraction of the cost and in considerably less time.
They will do this by paying for Tesla Dojo compute with chips tuned for both vision and LLM-based model training.
The content will then be hosted on https://t.co/x7PKyUw37u and sent over the bandwidth provided by Starlink.
https://t.co/hLW0csKJ63 will generate content that will fund fundamental breakthroughs in AI research.
Tesla will have the compute backbone necessary to tackle FSD, Teslabot, and any compute projects https://t.co/hLW0csKJ63 can dream up.
https://t.co/x7PKyUw37u will distribute the content as a platform similar to Disney, YouTube, or Netflix. This will fund any projects that Elon has in his pocket for making https://t.co/x7PKyUw37u the digital market place, the digital bank, the digital brokerage, and the backbone of culture, communication, and a storehouse of the world's knowledge and discourse.
The communications and content hosted at https://t.co/x7PKyUw37u will then be fed back into https://t.co/hLW0csKJ63 in order to train and advance future AI models that will be built to consume audio, visual, and written media.
The synergies are insane and the groundwork began in the early 2000's and continued in all of Elon's various companies.
The Twitter of today is a hollow shell. It is so much better that the name is discarded now, rather than confuse people as the full vision begins to be realized.
It’s great to hear how Wall Street processes things through your lens.
I’m thankful that Elon doesn’t think like Wall Street or we never would have gotten SpaceX, Tesla, or X the everything app.
The vision for X goes so far beyond what Twitter aspired to be, keeping the name would have linked the legacy of a floundering social media company to the future company that aspires to be nothing like it’s predecessor.
Twitter’s original vision and the vision of X are not the same. A name change drives this point home and creates the appropriate break.
Just as it will be clear in about 3 years that TAM for Tesla is the entire light vehicle market, both ICE and electric, it will also be clear that X is going after banking, brokerage, social media, and audio, video, and print content among other things.
