We have challenged @Keir_Starmer to confirm or deny whether Labour will incorporate into law an official state defintion of #Islamophobia'.

Last week in a campaign video with @SadiqKhan, Starmer said 'I think there's more we can do in goverment'. Kahn responded: 'Your experience as a prosecutor means you'll be thinking about the strategy we can use'. Labour in its manifesto makes no mention of doing this.

Such a measure will represent a new backdoor blasphemy law and violation of our right to speak freely about religion

Officialdom can override ordinary women (& men) over what they think is a man or a woman, and on that basis grant access to women's spaces. This is a free speech issue AND a freedom of association one too.

Labour kicked up such a fuss over the supposed political partiality of Tory appointees to chair quangos. It would be highly hypocritical to appoint @HarrietHarman

An interesting segment with JATQ's Marc Glendening, @lucianaberger and @andrewdoyle_com .

On the issue of yes/no questions, we've had a few grumbles from candidates who have said it's not fair to ask them.

But politicians expect to be elected on the basis of a yes/no vote (do you want this candidate yes or no?) so that they can make decisions in parliament on a yes/no basis that effect all our futures.

Should we raise taxes - yes or no?
Should we go to war - yes or no?
Should we cut spending - yes or no?

Surely they owe the electorate yes or no answers?

South Yorkshire Police refuse to answer questions from us about the legal basis for them threatening with arrest the Party of Women candidate for Sheffield Heeley. They say they will only respond to a professional journo. If you are such a thing, please email them on [email protected] to get some explanation for their intervention in the democratic process. We also wanted to know if YSP had handed over money to Stonewall within the past ten years.

JATQ first question asks candidates where they stand regarding the police being able to place us on 'Non Crime Hate Incident' registers on the basis of expressing entirely legal opinions.

Of the approx 120,000 individuals so listed many are women who have articulated transgender critical views. These lists can be publicly accessed for DBS checks at the discretion of the cops. This is very sinister in a liberal democracy.

The Association of Chief Constables, assisted by the College of Policing, have awarded themselves this political power with no legal basis whatsoever. This practice should now be stopped and all persons so listed removed.
