Many of you have probably seen the news in the last few months of two illegal aliens causing horrific tragedies on American roadways while behind the wheel of large commercial trucks.
These individuals obtained commercial driver’s licenses in California due to the State’s absurd coddling of illegal aliens, putting all drivers and their occupants on the roads at risk. There are thousands of these instances.
This should never have happened, as I’ve discussed with Secretary Duffy, who is taking steps to end these risks, keeping everyone on our roads safer! We must ensure that American drivers can read and communicate in English, for public safety.
Those responsible for these tragedies must be prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law; and the systems in place that allowed these illegal aliens to enter our country and get behind the wheel of these dangerous machines must be completely overhauled.
Unfortunately, in the fog of outrage, some are using these tragedies as an opportunity to attack law-abiding Sikhs and Indian-origin drivers, simply because of who they are.
Many of these law-abiding Sikhs and Indian-origin Americans are hard-working and patriotic. Most were born here or immigrated here lawfully.
They are our neighbors, our friends, and provide a legal and vital service. They believe in the American dream, and the rule of law upon which that dream was built.
These Americans are not responsible for the actions of the two reckless men behind the wheels of those trucks, and they must not shoulder the blame for the tragedies those men caused.
It is illegal under federal law to discriminate against individuals or attack or violently threaten them because of their race, color, religion, or national origin. The @CivilRights will aggressively prosecute or pursue justice against those engaged in such discrimination.
Targeting other Americans because of their race or religion is antithetical to our values as a nation.
I urge all of you, my fellow Americans, to act with reason. Those responsible for these tragedies must pay for their misdeeds. So, too, should the State of California, for enacting reckless policies.
But innocent and the law-abiding citizens and workers of all backgrounds, are entitled to the protection of federal law, and we will protect them @TheJusticeDept. Thank you!

When it comes to @derekcarrqb career with the @Raiders …
You can celebrate the impossible playoff run… and I did.
You can cry at the injury… and I did.
You can remember:
the 4th down,
the mulligan mulligan to Crabtree,
the premature celebration in Oakland,
the Seth Roberts OT TD,
the fumbles in & out of the end zone,
the Amari Cooper 87 yard TD,
ALL the cold weather games.
And I do.
But you can never say he didn’t LOVE being our QB.

President Biden signed a $95.3 billion aid package for Ukraine, Israel and Taiwan on Wednesday. It includes humanitarian aid for civilians in Gaza. “Israel must make sure this aid reaches all of the Palestinians in Gaza, without delay,” Biden said. https://t.co/wZztaJkk1U
California Sheriff Is Not Afraid To Speak The Truth
“We are here today because California public safety is in crisis. Crime is steadily on the rise and our public safety policy is one of the worst, if not the worst in the nation. I wanna make this clear and I want there to be no mistake in what I am saying. This is not by accident.”
“The driving force in our crisis is a radical progressive agenda fraudulently called criminal justice reform. This is nothing short of a sick and twisted social experiment where law enforcement is the bad guy and criminals are somehow victims of society and not responsible for their actions, their crimes, or accountable to their countless victims.”
“Thousands upon thousands of criminals are being released from custody early, crime is increasing and our governor is closing prisons instead of building new ones. It defies common sense. — We are now at our breaking point and Californians have had enough.”
I can’t transcribe this all due to X’s text limits but this is an excellent listen.
The @dallascowboys of the @NFL released their theme for the season, "Carpe Omnia", and put up a new sign near their locker room that also prominently features a Sikh Khalsa warrior in the top right. Sweatshirts with an image of Hari Singh Nalwa were also provided to players.
