Act before it becomes a crisis.
Good regulation does not merely respond to problems. It anticipates them.
That was the thinking behind Maharashtra’s action against analogue/non-dairy paneer. Maharashtra prohibited its manufacture, storage, transportation, distribution and sale in July.
Maharashtra acted. Now India can have a uniform framework. FSSAI has now proposed nationwide restrictions on representing non-milk-derived products as “Paneer.”
The food identity matters. Consumers have a right to know what they are buying.

BREAKING 🚨:
This is an excellent news 🔥
As per reports and surveys, most of the top godi channels are bleeding with their extremely low TRP especially since last four weeks
Many of them are running in losses, in fact apart from two channels, all have suffered massive blows as their credibility crushed down to zero
FYI, few months ago a report came which suggested that out of 475 total news channels, 470 are in loss
But after students protest, alternate media like Ajit, NewsPinch, Ravish, Samdish have completely captured the viewership among 16-30 age group
Godi media is done and dusted,
Keep boycotting them 🚨
Hum Yaad Rakhenge!
Listen to these 8 minutes of pure gold from Neha on the police brutality against students. The fire in her words, the conviction in her voice.
She has returned after 23 days of fasting, but nothing has dimmed her spirit. https://t.co/qJP6tfMxGr
Hearing out Gen Z.
My father's caretaker is a 24 year old guy. Hails from Kanpur. He has done BSc Nursing and we have hired him through an agency that provides elder-care professionals at home.
Spends 12 hours at our home (8 am to 8 pm), rarely takes a leave. A very diligent guy, soft-spoken, well-read (keeps reading books from my collection) and speaks pretty fluent English.
On the morning of 20th July, he calls up and says he is not feeling well. On 21st he came, was limping a bit. Did not share what happened.
Yesterday he shared with dad that he told a lie. On 20th he had gone to Jantar-Mantar for supporting the students' protest and was hit by the police truncheon during lathi-charge. While running, lost his shoe and twisted his ankle.
Last night when I went home and was having dinner, dad told me about this. Today morning when he came I talked to him and realized what 'generation(al) gap' means.
While talking to him I realized, he was 9-10 when Anna Andolan happened. He was 10-11 when Arvind Kejriwal became the CM for the first time. He was 11-12 when BJP formed the government in 2014. The NEET aspirants are even younger than him. They were toddlers 12 years ago.
Some of the things we have lived through, are alien to him. All he has seen since he started experiencing the world is the current government and Modi as the PM. So for him, everything that he and his generation is been through in last 7-8 years since he 'grew up' - the responsibility lies with the current government.
He mentioned that there are 1000s of youngsters who have travelled from as far as Lucknow and Varanasi for these protests.
Again on being asked why? Why did he and his friends join the protest? Why these students have come so far to join the protests?
NEET exam leak was the last thing on his mind. The reasons he gave were - everything becoming expensive and unaffordable, no job opportunities, government's and police's high-headedness, corruption everywhere - and then went on to mention falling bridges, broken roads, no footpaths, stray dogs and cattle all around and dumps of garbage everywhere. He called ethanol-blending a scam.
I felt he was just waiting to burst out everything that's piled up in his mind. Glad that heard him out.
Then I realized that there are millions like him and these protests are not just about the NEET exam leak. These are the piled up frustrations finding a way out.
It was such a peaceful movement, feel so sad that it had to take a violent turn. My heart goes out to the students and their families who were hurt. Paper leak is a very serious issue, and I am glad to know n see that the kids of our country have come together for a better educational system, and their parents supported them.
I truly appreciate the stand they have taken, showing dedication, sincerity, and keenness to study hard n make their future and a greater, educated India. This andolan, this protest, is the right way to go abt it, n the students have done this peacefully. So courageous and brave. Driven and motivated towards education, this generation will make India proud.
This issue is between the students and the educational system, it should not be hijacked politically, the credit should only go to the students of our country, and I am sure the government will also give them all the support n make it a stronger educational system. It’s a win-win situation. Hoping n praying for a positive decision. God bless all of you who wanna be educated.
Education should be the next trend and fashion, and should get trendier n more fashionable yr by yr, itna k bahar se log come to India to study and India becomes an educational hub.
I don't know anything, but these visuals give me so much hope. Shayad hum bhi, as journalists, thode hopeless hone lage the. Par kahin na kahin accha lag raha hai dekhkar ki khoon abhi poora paani nahi hua hai. Pata hai raaton raat sab theek nahi hoga, hume hi dheere dheere karke karna padega. Par abhi ke liye ye dekhke dil se accha lag raha hai kyunki ye jo log stage ke neeche barish me bhi khade hain, in logon ki neeyat saaf hai. And God bless them. Let's make India a better place. A better democracy. Urgently needed. 🫡🇮🇳🧿

Bullet Trains without the Bullet
So, the "Mumbai Ahmedabad Bullet Train" project will not have bullet trains anymore.
Mr. @hmakihara, a former Japanese Railway Engineer who was also a minister, closely monitoring the Mumbai - Ahmedabad project, has clearly called Modi and Vaishnaw's tomfoolery.
We chose to use European ECTS-L2 signaling system instead of using Shinkansen signaling system for Japanese Bullet Trains so that we are going to run a 200-250 kmph High speed train finally to inaugurate the project somehow.
After spending more than 2 lakh crore we've achieved this finally.

I am at Safdarjung hospital in Delhi where @Wangchuk66 has been admitted. Nothing should be administered to him orally or intravenous without take consent from me, his family and his doctors who have been monitoring his health for the past 20 days.
#WATCH | Delhi: Founding President of the Cockroach Janta Party, Abhijeet Dipke, says, "If they think that taking Sonam Sir away will end this movement, they are mistaken. We will remain here, and will march to Parliament on July 20."
He further said, "Until now, we were demanding Dharmendra Pradhan's resignation, but after this despicable act, we will now demand the resignation of Narendra Modi."
A YouTuber named Rider Veer Ji conducted a mileage test on a 2.5-year-old Skoda Slavia 1.5 TSI Manual, comparing E20 Petrol and XP100 Petrol.
• E20 Petrol (20% Ethanol, ₹112/L) • XP100 Petrol (0% Ethanol, ₹167/L)
Test 1: 5L E20 Petrol
• Average Speed: 57 km/h • Distance: 97 km • Mileage: 19.2 km/l
Test 2: 5L XP100 Petrol
• Average Speed: 61 km/h • Distance: 116 km • Mileage: 23.2 km/l
Result:
XP100 covered 19 km more on the same 5 litres, delivering around 21% better mileage in this test.
Govt claim: E20 reduces mileage by 3–5%.
This test: ~19–21% lower mileage with E20.
They will not reduce Petrol and diesel prices now, they will reduce next year, just before Uttar Pradesh election
They will loot for almost one year and reduce some 5 rupees before election, then Andh Bhakts and Godi media go gaga over it 🤡👋
Passport is a book
Aadhaar is a card
PAN is for cooking
Voter ID is for showing, not voting
Income Tax Return is for returning your income
Election affidavit is for creative writing
And Modi is a joke!
Total petrol car users: ~5 crore
Totak petrol bike + scooty users: ~26 crore
So many people are affected by the E20 mandate.
Yet the opposition has not taken up this issue. Why?
Let's do some basic math before celebrating.
Ethanol has ~33% LESS energy density than pure petrol. Running a vehicle on E85 drops your fuel mileage by a massive 25% to 35%.
Unless E85 is priced a whopping 35%+ cheaper than normal petrol, citizens will be buying more litres to cover the same distance; effectively paying a hidden premium at the pump.
Add the premium upfront cost of buying a specialized Flex-Fuel Vehicle, and the math simply doesn't favor the middle class.
"Significantly lower" needs to be quantified by thermodynamics, not just headlines.
Statement by Chief Minister of Tamil Nadu Joseph Vijay- "The Union Government’s public sector oil companies have increased the prices of petroleum products, particularly by Rs 3 per litre for petrol and Rs 3 per litre for diesel. This is unacceptable. When crude oil prices decline in the international market, oil companies do not correspondingly reduce the prices of petrol and diesel. Instead, these companies retain the profits for themselves. This hike in petroleum product prices immediately after the conclusion of the Assembly elections in five states is not acceptable...I urge the Union Government to immediately roll back the increase in petroleum product prices, which will adversely affect poor, lower-income, and middle-class people, as well as micro and small-scale industries."
My appeal to PM Modi-
In order to save petrol & diesel, please make it mandatory for bureaucrats, MLAs & MPs to use public buses and metro instead of large convoys.
It will also be a good opportunity for them to experience world-class infrastructure they are building for us.
I call upon all the Judges of the Supreme Court of India who wrote the Judgment and all the Stake Holders who might Benefit from the Digging and Destruction of over 2 billion years old Aravalli Range to Pause and Reflect.
