It does seem to echo chapter 20 in Thinking Fast and Slow, titled The Illusion of Validity. Totally recommend that chapter (and you don't need to read previous ones to get the points)

@vanschneider Its a book that doesn't need to be read front to back one page after another.
One of the many reasons I love it.
Pick it up, open it to a short passage or 'chapter' then put the book down & let the passage simmer
