@tcastle411 The use of social media has changed the way that companies build customer connections, popularity, revenue and character. Our society is very dependent on media; it is our way of interaction. It is good for businesses to have resources like that.
@Isabellajour104 I wish that platforms such as these could just admit the wrong doings and try to correct them to make a safer environment for their users. Instead they just state everything they have already implemented. It’s truly awful that women are still harassed on social media by strangers
@emmelysdunk i can see why this would be a consideration, i feel a lot of platforms constrict free speech. I am curious to see if it actually happens and musk creates a new platform. hopefully people will use it as a way of expression and not just because a famous billionaire created it.
@RoyaltyDavidson This program is a great implementation for social media platforms. There are a lot of young influencers on Tik tok and I think providing them with resources on how to be more successful in their freelance endeavors is smart, especially since many want to make this a career.
Twitter can be so juxtaposed. It can provide an outlet for people to learn current events and engage with others, but it can also be a hostile environment, where one wrong post can lead to the end of someone’s career, just from societal dependency on social media#csulbsmc
Apparently the New York Times issued a new social media policy today. Unfortunately, it doesn't do what every major newsroom ought to, which is tell employees they have to get the hell off Twitter: https://t.co/JpQvjBvpnZ
@jonathan_dough_ it’s crazy to see how Tiktok has changed the way people can become influencers. Young children are gaining thousands and thousands of followers just through Tiktok and find themselves moving up to casting in shows and movies just by posting a appealing video.
@Isabellajour104 the line “a boy who never lived” is so heartbreaking. The fact that some people on the internet have the audacity to claim another person’s child never even existed and was apart of a ploy to control gun ownership is disgusting.
@emmelysdunk Blockading Russians from social media and clarity about what their countries war affairs are is devastating for those who reside in the country. It’s somewhat of a technological entrapment, by promoting only Russian media.
@RoyaltyDavidson The article talks on how influencers from Russia have lost their freedom of speech on their social media platforms due to the conflict with Russia and Ukrainian. It is sad to see them so distraught over there lose, but it is also sad to see the conflict causing so much paranoia.
If we can spend $782 billion on the military industrial complex and handout $52 billion in corporate welfare to the profitable micro-chip industry, please do not tell me we cannot afford Medicare for All during a pandemic or the Green New Deal during a climate emergency.
it’s actions like this that makes social media and advancements in technology so terrifying. propagandists are visually lying to the public, making it seem as though Ukrainians are not currently suffering, calling them actors and spreading false media.#jour104#csulbsmc
Pro-Russia accounts on social media are trying to convince the public not to believe accurate news reports about Ukrainians suffering and dying -- spreading false claims that old videos show Ukrainian "crisis actors."
Here are three examples.

really though like why was she making this face THE WHOLE REUNION. What was so sus to you shaina, just acting like so she didn’t look like she did kyle so dirty #LOVEISBLINDreunion
@dangittommy this is so sad to read, I think that in this story the young man is using his social media platform to promote awareness about his dad being missing and now this story is catching attention. The way social media can spread news like wildfire can be beneficial.
@jonathan_dough_ i think this is really interesting to see how far the internet has come and will continue to go. The digital world has changed so much and I bet a lot of people are gonna be very curious to see how “deleting” media completely develops #jour104
@RoyaltyDavidson although covid was rough for everyone i think it’s inspirational how people took the time to discover and try new things for themselves and their enjoyment.
@Isabellajour104 i’ve seen this trend on my tik tok as well, and I think it’s crazy how quickly putting a bunch of petroleum products on your face became so popularized #jour104
ABC News said police showed “lack of sensitivity to the public and failure to follow police policy,” when it came to Lauren Smith-Fields’ death. Social Media can do what those with quote on quote authority can’t: rally people to perform self-motivated acts of kindness.#csulbsmc
