@MichaelDnes1 Thanks Michael. Given the fact that the next election will be near the 2030 new ICE vehicle ban, I was hoping to see some acknowledgement or strategy on how EV will be taxed in the future. I think you've commented on one obvious solution before...
@Onebiskuit @KirstendeVos @gazza_d Wouldn't you expect the fitting of a black box to result in fewer accidents? It might certainly reduce the number if speed-related crashes.
@AbigailDombey@laurencerowe@DavidFrankal Oh, okay. But that isn't a big deal - set up the French authorities with a post at MCR Airport then. It's easier to do that than set up the security infrastructure from scratch at Piccadilly.
@pinguforest When confronted with different scenarios, Tories always say they wouldn't answer hypothetical questions. Well, it's entirely hypothetical that any flights would ever take off. Hypocrisy from Hunt.
@bjames280961@MedBennett@James_BG I'm trying to help you, honestly I am. Do you even watch the news about famine, starvation etc? Read my point about supply chains - does Gaza ring a bell? But carry on making your assumptions if you like.
@bjames280961@MedBennett@James_BG I'm not saying that. The graphs show global food production. It doesn't convey efficiency of supply chains or distribution of demand. You cannot over simplify the very complex system of climate, food production, distribution and it's efficacy in feeding everyone.
@bjames280961@MedBennett@James_BG Global population was about 2.5bn in 1950 but it's about 8bn today. So it's more than tripled whereas, according to that graph, no crop has kept up with that rate of growth despite the impressive stats. Even without climate collapse, we have a problem feeding the world.
@MedBennett@James_BG Correlation not causation. Crop yields increase for dozens of reasons such as better agriculture management, planting higher yield seeds, fertilisation, better machinery. I have seen no actual evidence that yields increase due to an increase in CO2 levels.
