been trading btc perps on invo (used to be involio) for over 2 years now. figured i'd write down how i actually use it and what i'd tell a friend before they copy anyone
@JrKripto that's only 3 data points tho, and the 2022 one had ftx imploding the same week doing most of the work. i'd care way more about whether friday's 76.1k survives tonight than what the day count says
@ArdiNSC okx doesn't really show the oi build this morning tho. btc open interest there slid from ~3.70b to ~3.65b since 6am while price bounced, which looks more like some of those shorts already closing. maybe binance tells a different story
@CryptoMichNL tbf this morning's pop to 77.7k was the best one since sunday. if it actually gets through that i'd stop leaning on the weaker bounces thing
@CryptoMichNL we're pretty much sitting on the top edge of that zone rn, ~77.2k on coinbase. the part inside it i'd actually watch is friday's 76.1k, it's been retested a couple times since and every bounce off it has been weaker
honest question. if you could trade nvda or tsla perps in the same app as your btc perps, at 3am on a sunday, would you actually use it? feels like that's where this cftc stuff is heading and i genuinely can't tell if it's great or terrible
@AshCrypto if this is the single stock perps coinbase and kalshi filed for back in september, stock traders are about to meet funding rates and weekend liquidations for the first time lol. crypto just lost its monopoly on 3am leverage
@WatcherGuru the fake interview isn't the scary part, that trick's been around forever. it's that one compromised employee could reach enough wallets for a 6.3b hole. every exchange should be asking how much a single laptop can touch rn
@KillaXBT the coinbase range kinda proves it. since last thursday it's been 76.1k to 78.8k, barely 3.5% wide, and both ends got faded every time. till one breaks on a daily close i'm not reading much into anything in between
friday's $BTC low survived by like 100 bucks overnight lol. coinbase tagged 76.24k around 1am and now we're back over 77k. my guess is tonight's results take one more shot at it, but a level that holds when nobody's watching usually means something
@binance nvm my bad, just checked and btc, eth, usdt and usdc already came back in phase one on the 1st. so this is the smaller stuff trickling back, which is honestly a better sign than i made it sound
@binance stables first makes sense but kinda wild that usdt and usdc aren't on the list yet, those are what most people actually want out. real test is when native btc and eth withdrawals open and we see if there's a rush for the door
@pete_rizzo_ if it's priced that high already the sweep itself probably isn't the move tomorrow night. the surprise is if one chamber doesn't flip. that's the headline that actually wicks btc imo, either direction
@PrecisionTrade3 that zone's been tapped 3 times now on coinbase. friday's 76.1k, the 7pm wick and 76.4k tonight, and every bounce off it is smaller. daily rsi is only ~35 by my math tho, so it's not even oversold yet if it cracks
going into tomorrow night my whole $BTC plan is basically one line, friday's 76.1k. results come in and it holds, this was just a boring bleed. lose it and i don't see much stopping it until 75k. everything in between is chop i'm not touching
@XBTkaz 71 to 75k is a pretty wide bottom zone tho. top of it is only ~2% under where we are on coinbase rn, the low end is more like 7%. honestly if friday's 76.1k goes on election night i could see the 75k part getting tagged fast
@CredibleCrypto by that logic friday's 76.1k on coinbase is the one that actually matters, it's where the push to 78.7k on sunday started. tonight's 76.4k and the 7pm wick are just noise above it. lose friday and i'd take structure seriously
$BTC made a new low for the day tonight and open interest on okx didn't flinch, it's actually higher than this afternoon. so people are adding into election night, not closing out. that's usually how you get one big wick that clears both sides before anything's called
@52kskew coinbase just printed 76.4k this hour, so the 7pm wick didn't hold as the low for long. spot bid is still there but it's getting thinner each tap imo. friday's 76.1k is only a few hundred bucks away now
@BigCheds outside bar off 76.5k looks decent ngl. for the daily HL to actually count tho i'd want friday's 76.1k left untouched and a close back over 77.4k. under that it's still a string of lower highs since 78.7k
