Pune: Waterlogging On Dynamic Grandeur Society In Undri Raises Safety Concerns
Pune, August 22, 2026: Residents of Dynamic Grandeur Society in Undri have raised an urgent civic complaint over severe waterlogging on the society’s main road, citing deteriorating road conditions and safety concerns for residents, pedestrians and motorists.
According to the complaint submitted to the Pune Municipal Corporation (PMC), heavy rainwater has accumulated on the road, turning it muddy and making movement difficult for residents and commuters.
The waterlogging has particularly raised concerns over the safety of children, senior citizens and two-wheeler riders. Residents have also pointed to inadequate or blocked drainage infrastructure as a possible reason for the recurring water accumulation during the monsoon.
The society has urged the PMC to immediately inspect the site, remove the accumulated water and clean the drainage and stormwater channels.
Residents have also sought identification of the root cause of the waterlogging and a permanent solution to prevent the problem from recurring. They have called for repair and levelling of the damaged road, along with proper drainage infrastructure to prevent water accumulation during future rainfall.
Chetan Chavan, Secretary of Dynamic Grandeur Society, has requested the PMC to take immediate action and provide a complaint or ticket number for tracking the issue, stating that the waterlogging is affecting both daily commuting and public safety. @PMCPune@PMCPune

Pune, August 21, 2026: Residents living along Jambhulwadi Road, including those around Viva Sarovar, Venkatesh Lake Life and Lake Shire, have raised concerns over non-functional streetlights on the road for nearly a month.
The road, which connects the Venkatesh Lake Life and Lake Shire areas to Jambhulwadi, witnesses regular movement of residents and motorists. However, several streetlights along the stretch have reportedly remained switched off for the past month.
Residents said the area has a significant population, and the lack of adequate lighting after dark is causing inconvenience and raising concerns about road safety and security.
They have urged the Pune Municipal Corporation (PMC) and the concerned civic authorities to inspect the streetlights and restore them at the earliest.
Residents said prompt action is necessary, particularly as the road is used extensively by people travelling between the residential areas and Jambhulwadi.
