@Odious78 @OleTimeHardball Brett had very similar defensive numbers and had a much better lifetime batting average. Schmidt had more home runs, but Brett had almost the exact same number of RBIs (one more than Schmidt). Brett also had more stolen bases.

So the peak difference (the absolute biggest difference) was 6 deaths per 100,000 people, which is a very small number made to look big by the structure of this graph. And you haven't proven that the deaths in red states were due to misinformation and not co-morbidities such as obesity.

And even that assumes these deaths were all due to COVID and not "death with COVID."

That second chart shows the difference, at the peak of unvaccinated deaths, was about 12 per 100,000, which is a very small difference. And even with that difference, we don't know how many of those 12 had other health problems that the vaccinated may or may not have had. Their deaths could have been caused by the other health problems regardless of vaccine status.

My basic position has been that the vaccine was probably good for those who had big health problems unrelated to COVID and unnecessary for most other people. That chart doesn't change my position.
