#2D03Media180 I think the FCC should regulate the internet. One reason is to provide universal access to communication services. Another reason is that the FCC can protect consumers from unsafe ISPs.
#Media180SP242D03 After watching this film I felt sad, angry, and frustrated due to the outcome and use of violence that was used to kill a young African American man. The themes of racism and police brutality are sadly still heavily relevant in today's society.
The director, Spike Lee uses all types of cinematic tools such as music, lighting, and camera angles to evoke emotion from the audience. I personally like the use of camera angles he uses in this film. He uses many dutch tilt angles in this film which are used to create a feeling
#media180SP2024 This ad promotes a drink that is similar to soda but has healthy benefits. The target audience is people who are trying to cut back on soda for health reasons but still want to enjoy the taste of it. It could also be aimed at people who participate in diet culture
@ZulkhumorI1995 You bring up a good point of how cable/steaming has made it easier to watch shows alone. Especially with how normalized binge watching a show has become. It has become less likely for people to watch a show together like they would with traditional networks.
@carolnoreen I agree with how it launched a new era of entertainment. Cable tv has given us more selections of shows to choose from depending on what kind of story we want to watch.
I also think because we are not limited to these few traditional networks there is so much more content meaning more communities being built and conversions forming. #Media180SP20241D02
There are certain shows that air on cable once a week at a certain time that people gather to watch together or talk about the next day. This allows us to have even broader conversations about television.
@EffraimAlone I like how you mentioned one way it harms the idea of freedom and one reason it fosters it. I do think there are both positive and negative aspects of social media as well. These are both really strong points for each argument.
@JoannaCelia27 I agree with how you said our thoughts are influenced by what we see on social media. Our thoughts seem become less of our own because they are so consumed with what other people think.
#2D03Media180 It harms the political system by giving people the platform to spread misinformation We see it on platforms such as instagram and tiktok. Another way it harms the political system is how it lacks individuality. People base their opinion on what is popular or trendy
