$META says that there is a lot of demand for compute and they have a lot of internal uses, but they are also investing in datacenters and also selling compute because they are getting good prices for it. Huh?
If you don't know the names Henry Blodget or Jack Grubman, maybe you should look them up first before you start trusting some sell-side analyst's PT...
@jbulltard1 The P/E ratio (forward, trailing, whatever) is the most visible thing out there. Everyone sees it and has decided that it's the "right" multiple. Why do people think they are smarter than the aggregate wisdom of the market. The best thing any investor can do it ignore P/E!!
@BlueDuckCap The ATM is for stock-based compensation. They used to withold some shares (e.g., 100 vested, employee got 70) and pay cash for taxes to min dilution. Now they will sell those 30 in the mkt to pay the taxes. It all depends on vesting and option exercise schedules
@munster_gene Backlog is potentially misleading, no? Because if they have purchase commitments but haven't invoiced it, they can't count it in backlog, I believe. Real question is what is Cloud RPO
