Fast forward to living in DC, and @amtrak is my transportation of choice for a quick trip to Philly or NYC. But I would absolutely love for our rail system to be transformed to high-speed, affordable, luxe, climate resilient trains.

And the trains...they were so sleek and every seat felt like luxury.

It was absolutely convenient, less harsh on the environment, and I could be on the opposite side of the country or in a whole other country within a couple of hours and not have to deal with the hassle of the airport.

Y'all this is not good! For a number of reasons, but personally I have so many fond past and present memories of trains. Like when I moved overseas for graduate school, I would be on a train on a weekly basis.
